WAIT! I just noticed the very last line.

"Your family waits for you, Lord Emperor. Come home, soon."

Claudius acknowledged the Brothers as Lord Emperor?! So.. does this mean Alexander is gone? Did Alexander even exist?

Oh Lord. Now I have more questions.

Chapter 1 - Well, honestly, I think this is sadder than the last chapter of Caramel. My God. I need to stop crying in your stories. I can't believe how much has changed in their world. I mean, seven years? I figured they'd patch it up in two weeks. Four weeks tops. Like Marcus and Az. Well, maybe that wasn't two weeks but it seemed like it. Poor Armor. Going back to his old ways. Poor Sex. Poor Az and Xavi. Poor everybody. Except Claudius. For the moment, he is on my shitlist. And it pains me to see him there under Armanita. Oh, and I don't mind if you switch POVs. I rather like that, actually. Once again...

Chapter 1 cont. - I guess the Orel Wessel turned the brothers into a killing machine? Or just Sex? Since he got hurt the most out of the three. Well, I don't know. You said Armor got hurt more than Claudius. Which makes me think Claudius is an unsensitive bastard. WAIT! He was. Is. Damn that Claudius.

I know you may not consider me as a "loyal" cause frankly, I don't review unless it's to offer constructive criticism or answer a open question most of the time, BUT I've been reading this saga since middle of CAKE.
I must say, I DESPISE that the time frame has been so long. I REALLY wanted X, Sex, and Az there early on for the babies (if not for the birth).
Also, seems kinda odd to have Claudius the asshole at the end of the last book all of sudden be the apologetic moron here. He always pegged me as smarter than that.

Mostly, I'd just like to give me wish on how this started...X is missing for a few months tops, they find him, rescue him, yeah he's fucked up (but with all the lovers & loves around...that won't last too long, with few 'aftershocks' every now and then). And when they rescue him, have Claudius explain that the only reason he acted like that was to put up a front, because he LOVES Sex and would NEVER do that to him.

Ok first off you will not believe how weird this is going to sound but...I was napping and I had a dream that I was X...I was hugging Armor in my house. I woke up and decided to check to see if you started Cloves yet and nearly had a heart attack! Good start Can't wait to read more I'm still crying from the last chapter of Book 3. I got so mad that I ignored everyone and locked myself in my room where I proceeded to break down into tears. But you wouldn't leave The Brother's Three broken like that would you? you would be really mean if you did that.
