I read your rant. Believe me when I say 3-4 year olds have way too much damn attitude. (my friend has both a 4 and a 2 year old and the two y/o can be a smartass when he wants to be too). I do like the sentiment with Claudius writing the journal. BUT I still have a big problem getting past the 7 years gap. Mostly cause it's just way too long IMO. You have lycan, loyal, Hades, Liam, a new Lord Emperor as well as Marcus who's just a bad ass at finding X, not too mention Shade and Snow. Yes he may have a shield like Claudius, in fact that would be perfect thing for Claudius and Co. to get through, but with all those people, they still can't find him in 7 years?! Oh and I also forgot to mention Sex's family of hunters and mages, and his nieces who seem to be special.


I do like the explanation for Claudius' excepting the Emperor title, cause if it hadn't been that way it would have been too drastic a change to be believable.

Oh, Claudius & Marcus, how you lost your gentleness(T_T)

I'm sorry to say this, but I hope you'll rewrite this chapter/prologue. I don't like first-person perspective, especially not when the other three books were written differently. This reminds me of an author here in Sweden who changed her style of writing in the last book of her series, I put it down after two chapters. (And I loved those books too >_<)
I really want to know what happens with Claudius and the others, so I'll probably read my way through this book too; Even if you keep on writing in the same way, but, I hope you'll rewrite it.

Anyway, what I wanted to say more was that I'll stick with this story no matter what turns it takes and how you write it.
I really want to find out what's happened to everyone O_o.

Okay third (fourth?) time's the charm right? My english sucks today -__- I just realized that I wrote that I didn't like first person perspective but what I meant is that I don't like diarystyle writing. I blame all grammar and word mistakes on.. uhm.. My englishteacher. Okay, anyway, take care.

Hmm.. interesting prologue to Cloves; I'm not sure what to make of it. Beginning the 4th installment after a seven year break in which all is seemingly in shambles-- is very difficult to do, but if this is the route you wish to take, then go for it. That's all I can say at this point. Enjoy your vacation, but don't leave us hanging okay?

i like the diary version of the story. Its not too bad. OOOOOH I cant wait to see what happens.

Throughout all the first three books, we have seen the world through Xavier/Sex/Azrael's eyes. And then WHAM! There's Claudius peeking his head in.
He needn't have done that. It just feels off. I'm like, WTF?? (As much as I love him:) This is not his story!

It's a different way to start the book. But I do hope you get out of the diary phase. (I just cannot stand things being written like that, unless it is to make a point.)
