I love this chapter!! I wasn't expecting that Claudia would take over. But I think she will do a good job.

I love the ending!! Made me all warm and fuzzy inside. Even with the slight amount of death. Haha. Your stories are my favorite on this site. So...I know you mentioned a fifth book, but now that you have to edit Cake, I was wondering if it was going to be awhile in the future or not. Congratulations about Cake, by the way! :)

Wow ... certainly not what I expected. Well, I don't really know what to say. It's well written as usual and giving Claudius a brake was exceptionally nice but - don't know why - I don't really like the development.

I guess it's because of Claudia's character. I deem her a pretty fine empress but not in the role as leader of the Nation. She is too trusting and I think she was more useful as the admirable lovable counterpart/anthithesis at the Lord Emperor's side. Plus the relationship with Vlad is now hard to sustain and the pressure upon the winglets will increase again. I don't even think Xavier should have her as kind of warden. The different roles - personal and official - get all mixed up and wardens for rulers ... well such things rarely work(/ed) out.

Xavier might be young but he already shakes the Nation's foundations and rules - even if not officially and seven years in the tender care of Orel Wessel had him grow up beyond his age. I even think beyond a age most vampires hope to reach. I admit the Hashmalliam-task might be better to fulfill without being the Emperor but if he does - and we all know he has to - what kind of Empress does that make Claudia? Who will turn out to really rule and what kind of influence will the high ranking houses try to sway over her or/and Xavier. There will always be the thread of being called a puppet, unsuited to rule the Nation. In the end this arrangement might be more of a serious hindrance than an advantage. The brothers are more and more pressed into the role of a child.

The Thomas Paulus-Saulus-thing ... I find that hard to believe. Might just ask Liam about it; and the whole OW-thing is rather lame.

May I ask where the Lycan and the Loyal had been when Claudia was abducted?

I'm devoted to your vampire-series and really love the books but lately I got the feeling you might have rushed this book up. Compared to the older books the plot seems sometimes to slip away and sort of shallow for your usual plotting. Please don't understand this as an insult, it's not meant that way. It's just my honest opinion and it might change with some explanations. What can I say - I love your boys and hope there are still many books to come :-)

Emperor's bitch? oh hell no. I can foresee some ass-kicking in the near future (well, hopefully ^^ since I'm not the one writing it, lol). Great chapter!

I've just recently caught up to where you've left off. I started reading cake back in August, and it's been the only thing I've read up until now. I never really felt the need to make an Aff account, as I only ever come on here to read, and can't write to save my life. However, I really wanted to leave a reveiw and tell you what I thought of your story and characters so far, and to give you the link to some fanart I hope you'll enjoy:

I really love the story so far, and the vast differences in your characters and their personailities. My favorite book from the four you've written so far, would have to be book two. Simply because it was the introduction to Liam and Hades, two of my favorite characters. I love how ther're strong ancients, yet they act like playful teens every chance they get.
The brothers four was a good idea, and so was the double Markus special. Your story is never borring, and you always have more than one thing going on at once. It's a wonder you can remember all your characters' names, let alone their essences! Truly a wonder.
I say book two is my favorite, but now that I think about it, it's so hard to pick a favorite, they're all so well written and entriging to read. There are times when I'm reading, I can't get a stupid grin off my face. Then there are other times, when I start crying,( like at the end of book three), and feel so bad for one of the characters.
I can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear that your going to write a fifth book. I think I've seriously become addicted to the Lord Emperor Vampire Series, which all in all, is a pretty good addiction. >;D
Now that I've caught up and have joined Aff, I'll be sure to write a reveiw for every chapter from now on, and you can probley expect more fanart too!
