Oh and by the way, "The heart asks the pleasure first" - great choice of song. I looked it up on youtube, and it broke my heart. It really fits in with the loneliness Skell is feeling.

I agree with Lansing (heh...Lanny), Skell is Hashmallim. That makes perfect sense to me; he is the missing one of the brothers--they were not complete. True, Sex is power, the first link; X fills the link of...well the connecting link; and I had thought {as Lanny did} that Azrael was the Enforcer the Hashmallim, but was proven wrong by his intense love of Marcus. I am anxious to the brothers inevitable meeting--will it be open arms or an internal battle for dominance? Only time will tell & I'm very patient.
I adored the introduction of the pups and winglets (love that!!!). I cried, the children are perfect--Little Lex is going to be a handful just like the brothers I fear!!! And Haley and Ping's pups-- I love that their eldest are already emotionally stepping into their Alpha positions within the mixed pack.

I cried reading this chapter.I was crying for everyone.
Claudius-I think he lost most out of everyone. Sex was the first person to really see him. To break though everything nearly get killed and pushed away. He stayed and tried holding on to the one thing that mattered to him. Yes he left but he was hurting. Claudius lost the most because he was given the most. Sex was his blanket something to hold and love just for him.
Armor and Marcus-They will also have each other to lean on. They have the family and kids also the were-wolfs.It would have hurt so much for there love to go. In the end they could always pick themselfs up they had love from everyone else. Also they where all on good terms at the time.
Lycan- They loved their leader but they where a team. It would have hurt but they have each other and pups to deal with.
Hell Cats-Well i don't know they come and go.
X Family- It would have been heart breaking but he was there so little.
Others- I feeling i can group them. He wasn't as big in there lives. They would have loved him but in the end he would be a memory. Like everyone else the leaves.
Kids-They can't be sad for what they never had. (Yes they can but not as much)
Lanny-In the end his job comes first.Also he was sent to help so something would have to be found something would always have to come back.
Skell- All he knows is fear,rejection and hate. Orel would give him something just to take it away. He doesn't now what love or happiness is he can't. He knows what it is meant to sound and feel like but never got to have it for him and only him. He getting the brothers memory's and i think that is worse.
To see all this love and family but in there own why they are saying to him "no for you, we want them back.Not you". It would kill inside he is a killing machine but in side there is a small boy they needs those hugs and looks of love that none will give HIM.
Lanny wishes to serve but he wants what Skell is not Skell himself just like everyone else.
Skell is going to lock it all away just so these people can have it all back. I could see him in the end bring Orel down and never coming out again because he has nothing to come back for. All he had was kevin but he didn't really have him either. So i feel the most sad for Skell because in the end the pod and everyone is acting like Orel without even knowing it.
I love your story and can't wait for more. I love how you move so many people how we can all see ourself's somewhere in each char and know how it feels. Please never stop writing.

Awww *hugs Skell* No you shouldn't shun yourself away from the family. You should make your own place in it and surround yourself in their love (the none vampire-bunny kind) for in!! You can beat OW and still have them too. You will learn this in time I'm sure. And then when he does... he'll sacrifice himself for the greater good and saving the brothers and he'll be dead. I know it. DAMN YOU MURPHY!! *shakes her fist*
Anyways.
I liked the introduction of the pups and the kids ^^ They're so cute!! They're going to cause so much trouble and mayhem some day once they're all grown up and older. It'll be great ^^ hehe
I am sensing that Lanny will be Skell's mate/choosen one/paired off with person here.
And where's that little Vlad?? Is he still mopping around, cause I thought he'd be back there right with Haley once he heard that the brothers were found OR did you have him sent off somewhere far away doing something for the Pod?

The children and pups are so sweet! Epecially little Alex. I loved how they all have different characters. The way how they call Skell papa is cool too.
And ded, why not dedudshka ( = grandad, rather than ded = grandfather) ? I was a little bit surprised - it sounded quite stern to me. But, now , when I think about it you may be right - Claudius is Lord Emperor, after all. Ugh, Claudius really makes me angry. Making Skell feel like a guest rather than a long lost son - and at his own house!Thoug, sobs were a nice touch...
P.S. Is it only me or is Claudius really avoiding Skell?? (guilt aside, doesn't he understand that the distance between them keeps getting bigger? )O
P.P.S. Can't wait for destruction and war :D OW will fall... hard! :D Revenge sure is a sweet thing for a weeping heart.

I'm back!!!!!!!!! Well woah is just about all I can manage. I'm assuming right now that Skell is a fourth brother? Or nearly so, since he didn't actually join SAX on the beach in their mind. Amazing writing for sure, though it feels a little weird to read Skell instead of one of the other brother's names. I'm still a little confused about the end of Caramel, but I'm sure that explanations will come along in the next chapters, when Skell meets Claudius. I never want this story to end, it's just so good. With everything that's happened since 'Cake', it'd be hard to believe that SAX can be anything BUT a trouble-magnet. And I can't wait to find out what's been going on with Britta...... Did Claudius ever go see her when he got that invitation? Did the war come and go in the seven years SAX was gone? Or does the Vampire Nation need SAX to wage that particular war? Even so, waiting seven years would be a loooong time.
Can't wait for the next chapters!! :)

Why does Lanny call skell Hashmallim didnt he call Az that in book 3?...Are you saying that it doesnt matter who it is., that the body they all host is Hashmallim?

And Claudius. Well, what can I say. I know Sex kind of hates it; still, the phrase "The Lord Emperor Claudius" does have a certain shine to it...
