I know it's Skell's day, but I miss the other boys :) Hmm.. for some reason, Skell seems like he's in his element, which is strange because I was so creeped out when he just killed that vampire... maybe he's softened again in my mind after he broke down a little. Anyway, love it! Good luck on the next chapter!

oh.. and this is kind of random, but how old is Chesterton? I'm sure you've answered this before, so sorry! It's just that I keep thinking that Haruka had a kid with some really old butler dude, which is.. icky to say the least.

Wow, it's been a while since I've looked at Hades and Liam and thought.. 'Assholes!'

Crazily enough, that's just how you depicted those two in here. Actually, more so for Hades than Liam... Liam wasn't all that despicable in here.. In fact, he was almost pitiful.

I've been looking at Greek mythology, and the Greek Hades really does remind me of Vampire Hades. They're both assholes who do whatever they want to - including forcing people to be their lovers.

Hah! Two references of MacBeth in one chapter. You, milady, are great. (Okay, one sorta didn't count since it was more of a comment directed to the reader than anything..)

And well, I'm still a little undecided on Skell. Is he more emotional or logical? Rash or wise? I guess only time can really tell..

Well written as always but I'm starting to find it more difficult to follow 'your' or the brother's reasoning. The whole last chapter is a testament to their incapability of ruling the Nation.

They are mixing House, family and court-affairs. That's not a good thing for an emperor. While I'm of the opinion Liam deserves a beating, I don't think Shadoe Inc. is the right place to. Liam is neither punished for House-affairs, nor is the Stone of Punishment the right place to take revenge on him. Skell dishing out punishment for things, that were supposed to be over and don't really concern him isn't right. He was supposed to act out punishment for action's, that lead to the brother's abduction by OW, but he isn't punishing the ancients for this particular transgression. He is simply taking revenge + he takes advantage of his position in the house. That's so wrong and it seeds moroseness. On top of it, he is deliberately cruel - not a nice treat.

The next thing is the Kench-incident. There should never be shortcuts to justice - especially not for an Emperor. Skell should take responisbility and demonstrate to the Nation, that he above all people doesn't stand above law, even if he is the one establishing laws. He has to put himself on trial.

What is the state structure? Where is the division of powers? What the position of the Council?

The brother's are currently acting as dictators not emperors. Which kind of nation are they going to establish, if they start out their reign such like this? Than there is the little matter of judging crimes they themselves commited. Skell can claim certifiability due to the OW-drugs (which btw Azrael can't), but what kind of excuse shall that be to the victims. It doesn't make any difference to them. While it is justified to clear him of the deed, he shouldn't be allowed to judge others. Skell is absolutely in no shape of mind to do that. He still lacks a lot of traits, qualifying him for being a superior, less alone an Emperor. The brothers should also divide business between them and stick to their choice. To the outer world they are one. Their acting so differently makes them appear unstable - a nut case.

At last I want to say, Hades doesn't deserve such treatment! If the brothers continue like that - he will end up as an immortal enemy, moreover an emotional wounded one. He is family! Boys, get it over with - once and forever! If that's impossible, the brothers should kill him.

Still, I love your writing and the brothers ... well the whole V.D. especially Hades. I'm going to send him tickets to the opera. He deserves a break.
