yay for the happy ending! Except I really don't want Haley and his pack to leave! He's totally a part of the pod! But at least Britta is smart-she's not as psycho as I thought she once was. *sigh* well, we'll see what happens in book 5! Can't wait for that!

I know all good things must come to the end but I don't like you right now. I hate that this book had to come to an end! I want book 5 now (okay, I'll act like the adult my license tells me I am **grin**) Smooth outro to the chapter although i wonder what this will mean regarding the relationship between the bloods now (vampire and lycan). Will Brittia try to change the policy that haley and ping has instilled and what will happen with claudia (since she's the empiress and blonde - i can't think of his name now - her lycan lover? Great book 4 and come on down book 5!

A little time of happiness for Sasha and Sex. I hope they can enjoy at least their honeymoon. With Liam's explanation OW works slightly better for me, though I still deem Carmilla's reasoning lame. It doesn't make much of a sense. Kench and Lex ... with all their technique and unwilling as well as willing subjects. What could hinder OW from seeding their very own army of royal blue babies; risen in their own way of thinking without the actual need of breaking them?
I don't know why but Marcus claiming Sex back as his son was the sweetest line in the whole epilogue to me. I really loved that!
Britta ... great debut but I have to admit the Lycan-affair doesn't work for me either. The way Britta handled things is long overcome. To have Haley return to her side looks too much like defeat and justifying all of her deeds. If he returns as her heir he will bring his own pack with him and thus end up as an outsider inside of the pack. His Northern-fellows have already pledged loyalty to Ping. Returning now and walking in Britta's footsteps belittles the Imperials and none of this has been their intentions when they came to the brothers. In nature the stronger wolf-pack ousts the weaker and the mixing of packs only occurs in abnormal situations. With all the changes the internal tearing will be inevitable. I think Haley shouldn't return, sitting at Britta's side. He should return as head of the Imperial's and taking over the remains of the Northern pack by fighting Bruce after Britta's death. Releasing Haley from his oath works for me ... to a certain degree. I think the brothers should have given Haley the chance to come to this conclusion by himself, offering it to him and giving Haley time to think this over and certainly not in front of hundreds of witnesses. Destiny changes, maybe Haley found himself a new destiny that looks entirely different from the one he is now forced to live with. Britta 'conversing' with Saitou - the old heck must have been in real despair. Serves her right! To me it would have worked better if the brothers reciprocated Haley's oath and thus intertwined the Lycan and the Vampire nation based on an oath freely given and binding to all parties. ... the puppies and winglets will be so sad about parting.
But it is your story and those are just my unconscious ramblings. Congratulations to ending another book and the publishing of Cake!

Ahahaha, “I have an erection for you.”. Sasha is so funny. I think that was a good note to end on. Plus you didn't write an EVIL sudden-turn-of-into-angst ending. It was a very happy ending!! I think that's a first for you ;) I was worried that you were going to do something absolutely EVIL in this half, but I'm happy that you didn't do that. Its good to see that Sex and Claudius were able to work through their "moment" of miscommunication and overcome it, in the end, getting married and showing their love for each other to more then those inside the pod.
You did an awesome job on this book. It must have really been difficult for you to write, with the plot/chapter re-writes, the several chapters of ANGST and unhappiness, plus your own personal problems (damn thief). I'm glad that you stuck through it all and kept on writing. I will definitely be buying Book 1 from YH once its up for pre-order. Perhaps you could ask Kira if it would be possible for the first 100 copies or so to have your signature ;)
Hmm for some 'C' suggestions, maybe Chinaberry, Caraway, Cypress, Catnip, Cilantro, and/or Cumin.
Um, just a small suggestion for Book 5: no killie of X/A/Sk/Sx's lovers. No no no. Killing any of them would led to angry (and possible a couple violent) Loyal fans, plus, I'm sure the brothers won't react well at ALL to having a lover killed. It will disrupt their inner balance I think, and I'm sure that's a very sensitive thing for them all and something that was hardly balanced for this book. Maybe at the very end. I'm still paranoid that you're going to try and do that again *eyes you*
I'm also curious to see how Haley returning to his pack will go. Could Britta be leaving a few things out of her arrangement with them? Plus, I wonder if there are other who could claim the title of heir but Britta refuses to give them that right, wanting to give it to Haley instead, doing it because she's his grandmother, and not necessarily as a ruler. She would of course have good, strong reasons why Haley is the heir, but in the end, its because he's her grandson. I wouldn't be surprised if some lycan started to gather allies to try and take the title for them self, or just plot Haley's "accidental" death. Heirs are a tricky business, especially when the heir is kicked out of the pack.
It'll be interesting to see how the winglets develop now with their Papas and Uncle Armor around now. The Papas are truly doormats to their daughters'. Hehe. I wonder how they will change as they grow up.
Anyways, wonderful chapter/ending/book!! Can't wait to see what the book-5 plot bunny inspires you to write!!
