this is wonderfully written story and you have a real gift. Unfortunately though for me it's too depressing to even want to try to read the second half. But I do still think your very talented

I was totally caught up in this story and read it all within 2 days. I was highly blown away with the ending and how much of a sour taste it left in my mouth. I don't know if the author plans to re-unite the two main characters, but I feel that after all the effort that went into the relationship on both parties, the separation was very abrupt and not comforting at all. I do hope there will be further arcs and that a resolution between the two characters will take place.
The story itself I found highly involved and the uniqueness of the ideas that took place was highly refreshing. The writing sometimes gets a little muddled in places but not bad enough that I don't figure out what's going on after reading a little further. I haven't started the second part but hope to do so in the next few days (after taking a much needed rest from the blow received in the last chapter!).

I really love your style, you really know how to write a good story, the plot is really captivating... But I am so affraid of what's to come ;_; I so feel like it's not going to end well (yes, I know, not every story can end well, but you can't blame my poor heart for wishing it would?). your really are a great story teller!

Whew... that was a lot of stuff to take in...
Okay, reactions. First, can I say that I am a horrible terrible human being but I cannot help being happy that Alannah is gone? I know, pregnant lady dying is awful, and Ayve is completely broken because of it... but gah, she was always a thorn in my side lol. I think I've mentioned that in a few of my earlier reviews too. Plus, that's one HUGE obstacle gone to Ayve being able to devote himself to Stephen. Anything that encourages that I'm happy with. Again, I know its mean to say, but the death did not make me sad in the least. The only concern is how Ayve is going to be able to recover from this, and will he be emotionally available at any point in the near future again. I know you said that Ayve and Stephen do have a future in the sequel, but how long is it going to take them to get there after this huge blow, and how hard will they have to work for it? Questions questions.
And poor poor Stephen. I'm sorry but Ayve is a major dick :) When I was reading about Stephen's visit to the hospital I was ready to reach through the screen and shake Ayve thoroughly. Thank god Stephen finally came to the decision that he did, to break it off. He does not deserve such treatment, nobody does. As you know I love them together but it was getting to the point of Ayve slowly bleeding Stephen dry. Ayve will have to undergo tremendous changes if he and Stephen are to be reunited, but after Alannah's death I'm skeptical that he will be able to. And boo at Ley. I understand why she kept Stephen away from Ayve but....!!! Still frustrating lol.
For the sequel I really do hope that Ayve and Stephen do work it out in the end and are able to have a solid lasting relationship that is satisfying and beneficial to them both. My main hope for that also is that it doesn't take a long time for them to get there. I know that its unrealistic for them to make up and become happy in the span of a month, but jesus, Stephen has been jerked around for years. A freakin DECADE. He's certainly not getting any younger! It just seems tragic to have him waste so much of his life on a failing relationship. So yeah, although I am aware of how complicated the resolution will have to be, I really really hope that its relatively swift. I could not imagine a decade plus of heartache...
I think that is all that I want to say. I'm bollocks at organizing my thoughts, sorry lol. Overall I actually liked the ending. Great twist about Alannah, and although it would have been more satisfying to have Stephen tell Ayve off to his face, I am happy that he finally did something about the situation, even if not so directly. Cannot wait for the sequel!!! Really hope these two can work it out and that you don't see fit to torture Stephen for another ten years :D Wonderful story though, really enjoying reading your writing!

Thank you for telling me that you liked the end. Most people just said something like 'I can't believe you did that' or 'I hadn't expected such a sad end' but they did not say whether they liked it. ;)
I thought it was necessary. Had Stephen not finally acted, he would have looked weak and stupid. As for Alannah: I did not want her to die. I knew you would like that but... poor Ayve, poor Alannah. Yet it had to be - I tried to come up with a good scenario for volume II with her in the picture but it just did not work...
I have a meeting that I hope will secure me a placement tomorrow and some stuff to learn for the university afterwards, but, knowing myself, I'll still start working on the second volume within a week. :)
