I like this story. There aren't many stories that take place in a mental institute. And the main character is so funny. I just keep waiting for him to break, and I really want to know what made him like this. Besides being rejected by his brother. Update soon please!

I don't think I've commented much, if at all, but I do love your story and your writing style is really refreshing. Keep writing!

Wow, wasn't expecting that, it took me by surprise, but a nice one :P. That Salem is such a whore, haha I love him, and man, Lucius is jelous... I'm having my doubts about Lucius though, he looks like a really sweet guy but...he's been in that place for too long, and that could mess anyone's mind... I like that he's showing his true personality though and I'm eager to see more from those two :). And wondering if Kieran is going to visit Salem any time soon.
I'm glad you updated. Sorry for not reviewing earlier, but I somehow keep forgetting my password here, I don't why, what's wrong with me?...Anywaysss, can't wait to read more!

Hey, for a novice, you did great on the sex scene! :)
I actually didn't think Salem had it in him, I guess being sexually deprived for two months, away from your "brother", will do that to a kid. Oh, plus the fact that Jesse threw himself at him, lol.
So, this always fascinates me and I don't really get it: If Jesse is a boy, and he wants to be a girl, will he be straight when he's a girl, or gay? And as a boy, I guess he's gay? How exactly does that work? I'm just curious.....
Anyway, great chapter! I had to re-read a few chapters to re-familiarize myself with the story and I saw your A/N in chapter nineteen, I think it was. I don't remember the name of the other story, since I was certain THIS was the story I was thinking about. I guess I just confused both stories, thinking they were one in the same. Oh well.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I'm glad Lucius (hahah, not to be pronounced like Malfoy's Lucius!) isn't being as medicated and his personality is coming through. :)

Hey Lindsay! I read this story so long ago, I had to re-read it from the beginning! I got confused for some reason; I didn't realize Salem was the name of the main character. Was his roommate always named Lucius? Everytime I think of that name, I think of Malfoy! lol Anyway, the story I remember had another character in it. He's the one I thought was named Salem (awesome name, btw). The main character was kind of fixated on him; he had long fingers, I think he played the piano? I'm trying to remember. There was a scene in the cafeteria once, where they had to make an arts and crafts project, and this other character made a penis shaped whatever it was. There was also this other kid who told everyone where objects were made. China, Taiwan, etc. I think; I'm not positive. Anyway, was this ever in your story? I know you mentioned in the summary you re-wrote the whole thing. Did you take out these parts? Or am I totally thinking of another story?
Anyway, this version is also awesome! Salem is one character, isn't he? The poor kid has so much anger, feels such a lack of control in his life; it's tragic. He's also incredibly smart; he knows why he cuts, he knows what pills they give him (oh, I thought they were trying NOT to medicate him), he knows what the other kids have and don't have. He's amazing! lol
You have woven a fascinating tale of anger, hurt, betrayal, confusion; a whole spectrum of emotions for Salem. He's so bright, but also so broken. Your knowlege of the inner workings of the mind of a person like Salem is amazing. This is such a psychological story and so well written. You are very talented Lindsay.
Well, I hope Salem doesn't sleep thru the arrival of Jesse! Can't wait to read more! Great job! :)

Ok Lindsay, my bad again! I was reading thru your reviews, and realized (from my first review) that I most certainly did read the story with Salem and Lucius (haha, I also commented on their names in my first review). So, my memory sucks. I apologize; I must have been thinking of another story taking place in a mental facility. I think there were one or two out there.
So, disregard the first part of the last review. Sorry! :)
