Poor Tega! Betrayed and raped in one night! And james seemed so nice in the beginning I thought he wasn't going to go as far as rape to get him. Can't wait for more.

Ah, I hope it turns out okay. James seemed kind of nice at first. Ugh!! Anyway, I hope Tega goes to somebody, Jesse or something; I don't think the officers at the facility would condone what James was doing, and if they tried to blame it on Tega couldn't he just show them his wounds? And if Jesse meets James I hope Jesse beats him up. Or something. And i REALLY HOPE Sloane splits with Clint. I understand why Tega was angry at Sloane, and he should be, but they both need to focus their energies on getting Clint and James out of there. It's rape is what it is and even if they're supposed to be kept clean and pure and all, can't blame the victim for getting raped, so I hope those other two get their retribution.

Anyways, I was reading your response and I found myself really agreeing. You do have the old fashioned aspect of it that we think is so far removed from where we are now, but if you think of the state of the world it's really not. People's rights are constantly violated for the greater good. The draft is still considered an option if we get desperate enough. Can we really say for certain that this wouldn't ever happen in our Wonderful and Free American if our circumstances weren't the same?

And I also found lili's review interesting, or I should say one part of it. Given that at this point in time, many women are still blamed when they're raped, I can't say I'd be as assured that those in command would do something. We can hope that they haven't gone that far back, we've finally gotten to a point where, in most parts of the world, a person who's raped isn't seen as a whore who brought it on themselves. But I find myself thinking that if he reported it, they'd be more concerned with him trying to circumvent the system than him raping an unwilling Bearer. And then if he was punished, eliminated in some way, who knows how Ortega would be treated. Especially if he ended up pregnant :'(

poor tega makes my heart hurt. i hope that somehow this gets avenged, people like that need to be castrated. and sloane needs to grow a pair and realize that when your sex is the only ones that can reproduce then guess what you get all the power. women have been having abortions for years if we don't want the baby we don't have the baby.

I officially hate Sloane. You may have decided that your fine with being treated like shit, but you do not bring someone else into it. That is just low. I think I dislike him more than the two men, because he should know what it would feel like in Ortega's position. Low low low low low low low. I'm hoping for a happy ending for Ortega but I wonder.

I do wonder though, are none of the 'studs' nice guys. Somehow all the ones encountered have been assholes, or at least undesirable in some way. Are any of the breeders going to end up with a nice good guy? It that's a yes, personally I'm rooting for Ortega to find someone to save him from that loser James.

I love your story i spent most of the chapter going what is happening then when i saw what happen i was yell at it and saying no,no you f@#$ing B*&$#@ and wanted to knock his lights out. I love your story i think it taking things to a different level i love the ideal and think you are working it well but i would have thought that security would have been higher on the breeder's and the high ups would already be looking at them to see if they like there look.
Any i am a big fan love the work can't wait to see what will happen.

......I don't know what to say.....My bulk of emotions and responses went something like this: Irritation, disgust, fury, vomiting, writhing, incoherent rage, attempts to eat computer, remembering that it's not the computer's fault, more rage, frustration, hope for Ortega to essentially give them the bird and accept the "stain on his virtue" by not giving in and still look for a new man(Fuck no, James isn't getting any tomorrow, or ever again!), and finally, more rage blended with fury and sorrow. That's quite the emotive cocktail you set up. Don't they have laws and shit to protect carriers if they're such a valuable resource? Like casteration of the bastards who didn't learn that No means NO? GOD DAMN FIFTIES POLITICS!
