I want to be angry at Sai. He has effectively gotten out to a difficult situation, yet he keeps going back to it. He is acting like a woman out of a romance novel whose no means yes! Yes!
I don't know what to think about the Doctor situation. Is this another test of Havar? yavisk watched them. What is he watching for, a sign of discretion on either of their parts? Doctor seems from the food always mentioned along with him to be synonymously motherly and comfort. Havar said parents, his mother is still alive? Poor Brian can't even save himself. Why does Miljan not say anything to yavisk?
Did you change your disclaimer? Or am I blind?

Sorry, I forgot to add this in the other two reviews. Sloane's father seemed like that old story I remember from English about a Cosack General who hunts humans. His past is so desperate it makes me laugh.
"Bless me Father for I have sinned"
"The dogs will show you more humanity"
"Thank you Father for your kindness"
I have to commend your writing. Sloane's past is only touched upon, yet it leaves a deep imprint.
Only four more chapters! Is there going to be a sequel? I am panicking here! This story is too big to be left like this!

Nope, disclaimer's stayed the same. And there'll be a bit bigger bang for a character's exit tomorrow, but I suppose I always sort of felt that way about death and exits. They always happen at the oddest times, when you're out to lunch or you've just gone to sleep - people just whisper away. It's hard to explain, I guess, I dunno.
Yes, I'll only be writing four more chapters, and I am undecided on a sequel.
thanks for reading, green.
Oh, and I can be IM'd now. On AIM: KabiWrites

dear kabi,
sorry for pissing you off.
regardless of the fact that you are obviously very well versed in geography and whatnot,
I was confused about your opening paragraph before you changed it. Maybe it's just me,
but it sounded like Cairo was in India. So I told you in my short comment - no hard feelings, dude!
Didn't want to have you rant about your advanced classes and 20 page character backstory.
(Seriously - how would I know? I'd have written that comment anyway, 'cause mistakes DO happen sometimes
and I thought it might be better to tell you.)
No, I do not "honestly think" you're stupid. I thought,
"Maybe she's mistaken Cairo for Calcutta when she wrote down her chap, or it's part of her story universe,
where Cairo is in India."
Please don't freak out on me or on any person over a comment, okay?
I'm not evil - I like you as an author and I definitely like your story.
Love,
tb

I think Havar and Ortega's relationships really stood out clearly here; the abuse they received is taking its toll. Part of me thinks it serves Yavisk and James right but the other part feels really sorry for them because they do seem unstable. And Miljan and Tiger's interaction is so cute. Really eager to see how things turn out; thanks for the update!

Havar Samui Granger has an English father (Thomas Alden Granger) and an Egyptian mother of Turkish descent (Azime Granger). He was named after his maternal grandfather (Havar Madakbas) and the Thai island his parents were visiting when his mother found out she was pregnant (Ko Samui). He grew up in a quiet neighborhood in an area called Al-Jīzah in the northwest of Cairo.
India, however, is where he and Brian attempted to escape to to.
