This story's very well-written! ^_^
The overall structure of the story is simple and easy to follow, and I cannot find any fault about your writing. However, the story seemed too short and underdeveloped, and I would love to see how it could have extended. That's kind of why I felt unsure of the characters, so little had happened that it was hard to feel a connection with the characters. Still, I really liked it nonetheless.
