Ah okay thanks for the answers! Actually for Ethan, I wouldn't mind if it was left off where it is, I think because I don't really know Ethan that well except that he is Alex's friend and semi-guide in Rift. But if you are inspired to write about him I would definitely read it, heh

Oh crap! I hope Roan is okay. And I think Marik is going to start looking for potential mates for Medin? Also, I wonder why Roan thinks Marik regrets the litter if he keeps on trying to make love to him and looks at him wonderstruck all the time, although I think I sort of understand because Marik won't talk to him. Also, I thought this chapter showed that Roan isn't that happy, with how he wonders about "just when Euan had learned every fucking thing there was to know about carrying" and also hows he says "I don't want to lose my place here."
Actually with the making love thing I wonder what Roan is like during a love scene (besides personal pervyness lol), because I don't think he is madly in love with Marik or anything, so I wonder how he gets when he has to be intimate.

Thanks for the update! Reading this, I think Roan seems rather miserable, not because he's starving or anything, but that he's stuck in a life where he doesn't really feel a purpose. It's a little sad and I hope Marik does something or that Roan finds an occupation or some other outlet. I think the last sentence of this chapter conveyed a lot: it was very succinct and it described Marik's predictable reaction while Roan remained rather shut off and distant. Roan is one of my favorite characters; he's very complex, stands up for himself, and intelligent. He really understands what's going on around him (like with the thing about how life in the compound might not really be all that different from that of his clan). Also, I wonder if maybe his homesickness is more serious than I thought. A chapter or two ago, Roan is lost in thought about his clan family, and then here he thinks of home while he looks out at the snow. Or maybe that's an indication that he's just drifting farther and farther from the Wolfish life and isn't at all happy with it.

But anyways, I'm looking forward to reading more about the babies (both Euan's and Roan's), Blaszni and Dorano and their relationship (was Dorano brain-damaged maybe? and does Blaszni have magical healing powers? heh), and also the possible alliance between the two packs.

Oof. The last part about Blaszni and Dorano was very descriptive and moving and a little scary too. It reminds me of that kid's black eyes in The Grudge. Anyway, thanks for the new chapter! Marik seems very intense. I hope things turn out okay.

Ah! Who's attacking? Melloszians, Louts, humans? Anyway, I'm eager to see how it turns out. Also, in this chapter, I liked how Roan has to restrain himself from "swearing and swinging" when Marik mouths off at him. it shows that he hasn't gone completely docile yet. I also liked the scene with Medin and Roan and how their relationship was protrayed.
