Hi there, I'm a new reader. I started with Rift and read maybe 10 chapters, but felt I was missing a lot of information so decided to try this which seems to tell a little more of the facts.
It's a fascinating 'verse, and well written. Are the three stories meant to be read in a certain order?

Jenner: Not really. I wrote Rift first, and it's the largest and most comprehensive of all the stories, but there's no wrong way to read them all.

I've got tons of questions that maybe will get cleared up as I read on, but some are:
The wolfes - what do they look like?? Like humans but bigger? And they can change into a form that looks like a regular wolf? Or is there something in between? What about the tail..?

Jenner: Female wolfes aren't around (in these stories). Male wolfes in human form look like humans but with a tail. They can't get rid of the tail when they change. They also have a form that looks like regular wolves, but larger, and a bit more anthropomorphic (they call regular wolves 'dumbwolves' because they can't "talk" to each other in the same way wolfes can). There is nothing in between. The tail is always present.

If a human has a litter, how do they feed the pups?
Same way your mom fed you.

I didn't quite understand about the tails - there are human babies (entirely human and tail less?) and wolfe puppies, but why are no human women born? The wolfe puppies - males have a tale but females don't? Wolfe females aren't reproductive?

Jenner: There are humans: male, without tails but reproductive, and female without tales but sterile. There are also male wolfes, all of whom have tails, but no female wolfes born since the Plague.

You said in Rift that "traditional" sex isn't allowed after the change. How do they keep humans from getting pregnant constantly, they don't have sex very often? Or are the humans not fertile all the time? In nature, high numbers of babies in litters is a way to overcome high mortality rates. Do all the babies/pups live? With an average of maybe 6 babies/pups to every litter, there should be loads of young ones, who looks after all of them - the "mother" and father? That's a full time job with just a couple of lits to each couple.

Jenner: "Traditional" sex would be anal sex, considering everyone is now male. It's banned because reproduction is good. In building an empire, you need lots of babies. And no, all the babies/pups in a litter don't live, because although the wolfes are very much like us in most respects, their reproduction is a bit more r-selected.

The wolfes (and other species) must have a language of their own? What language is supposedly used in these stories, wolfe to wolfe, and wolfe to human? Can the other species also interbreed with humans?

Jenner: There is a Wolfish language, but it has many dialects and isn't very standardized, so for most interactions/transactions, Wolfes use English and Russian, the two predominant Earth languages at the time of their arrival. In general, assume things are in English, unless I put them into Russian or imply that they are spoken in Russian. Occasionally, I may imply that Wolfish is used. The kids learn Russian, English, and their parent(s)' dialect of Wolfish as well.

Yeah, so I'm way behind the old readers, but I'm so curious!! I'll just read on for now. Thanks for awesome writing and feeding of my kinks. Mpreg used to be a big squick for me, and I'm still don't exactly like it, but these stories just have so many other things going for them that I'm completely willing to deal with it...

Jenner: Glad you like it. Try Kabi's November, also. You might like that as well.

Woah, I was not expecting that new twist. So, will the story focus more on Medin's search for Marik? Or will you split the story between Medin and Roan?

Thanks for all the input, everyone. I think (for now) I've decided to leave Róan be...poor darling, I'm afraid if I write about him more, I'll only hurt him again. However, I may continue with Blaszni and Dorano's story, which is quite unfinished, and I may also go on about Walker and Medin. We'll see which way the wind of inspiration blows.

In addition, I've re-edited to add in a missing chapter, "Only A Year", which I somehow seem to have missed posting prior to the final scene.

Thanks for reading!

I agree with you this is a really poetic plce to stop and I think it is pretty cool that it comes full circle agian. I mean you could add more in another story or something about Medin's journey and his return.

I want Marik back...I want a happy ending...(but if you choose to end it here, that's alright. It was a good read)
