Thank you, orbiting_jupiter, for writing this story. Far too often i read young adult gay fiction where the main, gay, characters end up either killing themselves or getting killed. It is uplifting and refreshing to see this twisted cliche turned on its head by having the person who actually deserves it dead. Thanks again!

Wow. Okay, I enjoyed reading that, a lot. Around the middle, it was like a trainwreck (but in a good way) where things are so messed up you can't help but stare on and watch what happens. I think that was a very good thing, keeps teh story flowing. The main thing wrong with it are some spelling and grammar mistakes, some sentences that seem to have part of them missing, but still, an awesome story. Loved it.

This might be a "cliche plot" or maybe it's not 'cause it's one I've never seen before. Intriguing though.

YEA, SO LOVE THIS

The premise of your plot = totally nuts. Like crazy Days of Our Lives kinda business. And a lot of people replace building characters we care about with having terrible things happen to them. Like somehow the terrible will replace personality or make the story more important.

It’s like you grabbed that oh so common slash theme and then tweaked it until it broke. I COULD NOT stop reading. I think maybe I like your writing so much because you seem to care about the things I care about—like yes things are happening, good and bad, but it is the moments between and the little details that actually bring the story out.

My favorite part is when, after Luke has the little breakdown in the hallway, they are brushing their teeth in the morning and they can’t stop laughing. DAMN. It’s this perfect sort of kid moment, happy moment, early relationship giddy moment, that makes all the other stuff work.
I also love that you write about location. Like where the fuck the people live and how that plays into their worlds. It doesn’t have to be heavy handed, but it’s nice to get a little geography in there. It matters.

I think I can tell you develop more than you write, as in you are not taking us to the hard borders of everything you know about the charters and plot. You leave a little out, a soft edge that makes your writing more confident because you have that extra bit not said.
And also I kind of fell in love with the syntax of this story. The prose really worked for me and I appreciated your attention to how the words looked on the page.

Anyway, as a fellow writer, I can say writing makes me crazy and sometimes I’m in love and am so happy I started doing this and other times it makes me a pretty miserable fuck. Your work gets under my skin and makes me all twitchy. It challenges my projects. That almost never happens.

Anyway, if you are ever up for writer chatty my e-mail is Blueghostghost@gmail.com

I just read the first chapter and I love this. I am going through a bit of a slashish Holden Caulfield phase right now and this is so spot on in the narrator's voice.

Very good story. I must thank another author for having your work on their recommended reading list.

I live in Delaware, and while it's not SanFran here, people are mostly accepting enough to either not care or pretend that what they saw never happened. Of course, that is in New Castle. I can't speak for slower lower Delaware though.

Well, I finally finished this story! I started it so long ago, and had to put it down for awhile, but I'm done!

I'm sorry I'm done! I absolutely LOVE your writing style! I've read the majority of your work; I think I only have one more story to go! Love the way the characters think; they're so complicated, yet their thinking is so normal!

The story made me laugh, made me cry (more often than not, I was crying!).

Excellent, excellent story, very profound, very touching. I'm so glad Milo and Luke got to be together in the end. I was heartbroken when Luke was taken away from Milo.

Wonderful, wonderful story. I'm gonna go see what story I missed, so I can start that! Oh, and btw: how's Better Now going? And The Trouble with Thirteen? I love those two stories; you're going to still update them, right????????? (hint, hint, hint!)

Wow. I really, REALLY liked this. It was kind of weird with the awesome, especially at the beginning, but it totally sucked me in. I love the way Milo messes up, but he always goes right back and tries to fix it. I love how in some ways he's so responsible about getting them help and dealing with legal matters like the money for the hospital, but at the same time can't be convinced to go to school, despite knowing he's threatening his emancipation. I love the fact that cool as Milo is, he's not always "the strong one" and Luke the weaker; I like that Luke has his own strengths, even though he's the more obviously messed up of the two. I have homework to do, but I couldn't stop reading- truly a great story. Thank you.
