I quite enjoyed that! You did a nice job of describing the school and giving it a suitably wonderous feel (I particularly appreciated the clockwork servants who served the food). Hitomi and Danielle are both interesting characters, with each given enough complexity to avoid being simple stereotypes. I liked the fact that Hitomi knows martial arts, so he won't end up being a helpless doormat. And Danielle's inner doubts and insecurites lend sympathy to a character that I would normally hate. So, overall, well done!
