I love this story, this chapter was great and thrilling. I hope to see more coming soon and Boyd and Sin better get each other in the end or I'm going to cry. I really like the dynamic between those two, they are just perfect for each other. Keep up the good work!

I..uh...sort of squealed with joy when I saw that you posted another chapter. But anyway.
So...
It was pretty...I don't know, surprising, but in a good, witty way that Dana and Rick remember Boyd. Because it's well, probable that someone might remember him. I can't really tell you what I liked about that exactly, maybe it's the connection to Monterrey. Like, it's not, okay Monterry arc's finished, whatever they did there concering their job doesn't matter anymore.
I'm babbling, sorry.
I actually loved Boyd's little "act". The way he considered what would convince them most likely and how he tried to make the emotions look as reals as possible was amazing. And Rick was great; how he was silent all the time (until, well, he hit Boyd) and didn't jump to conclusions. (neither to positive nor to negative ones)
When they told him that he was on Janus's ominous list (of course, after you made the reader feel like they were finally believing at least parts of his story! xD )it was a kind of "Right. That had to happen." - moment.
That Dana and Rick actually made Boyd feel anger was a great touch. I liked how he slowly went from being all professional to angry and...involved, in a way.
The secret passage through the mirror was very cool xD I enjoyed the action immensely, though I can't say much about it. Just that...Sin feels a lot more at home with these sorts of missions than Boyd - obviously, since that's all he's been doing for most of his life, but it's still great how you managed it to make it show.
On a side note...I probably should/could have told you before, but anyway. I absolutely adore how it changes the atmosphere of the whole mission when you change the point of view. With Boyd it always seems very professional, "James Bond"-like ( a little. with a serious, careful James Bond ;) and stuff, but once you're writing from Sin's point of view, everything seems laughable and easy. And annoying, to Sin at least ;)
And *of course* Sin had to find Thierry... poor Thierry. Bet he'd have been a lot happier if it had been Boyd ;)
Ugh, Hale Clemons's really...painful. If you know what I mean. He makes me want to punch someone. (Preferably him.)
But hey, Boyd maneuvered himself out of that pretty well. And I was simply relieved when he killed him. I liked that he didn't torture him, it, well, was an important part, I think. That he showed mercy and he looked after Dana.
I loved the whole car action xD It was awesome, like in a movie. I can so picture poor, frightened Thierry yelling in French while nobody's really listening.
The scenario afterwards, with the three of them was...I'm struggling to find a word, but I definitely enjoyed it. The way Boyd and Sin were interacting with each other must have been rather unsettling oder even disturbing for Thierry, seeing how he's not a big fan of Sin. xD
But Thierry's awesome. I really like him and I'm very well aware of the fact that I mention this in nearly every review. I'm sorry ;)
Huh. So. I guess I won't have to tell you just how awesome this chapter was, right?
This review kind of went overboard, though. Haha, hope you don't mind my endless rambling.

Haha oh my god, I know the whole car scene was a really tough situation but to me it was hilarious. Especially when I know some french and pretty much knew what Thierry was rambling about scared. "Comment peux tu supporter d'être près de quelqu'un comme ça ? Il est cinglé!" And the "We're all gonna dieeee!!!111" Haha. Damn right, Sin can be a crazy bastard on missions as we saw here. It was like hardcore action and comedy melting together, although I'm not sure if you meant it to be that way.
I was sweating slightly when Boyd was caught, the "Kadin Reed?" moment I was like "yes, of course they would do this, of course!" ,the possibility of that happening hadn't even crossed my mind before. I still envy Boyd's brilliant brain, mine would go all mushy in a situation that bad. I thought the Janus guys (and girl) were a bit, err, simple though not realizing the paper clips and the possibilities they offered for Boyd to get himself free. Tsk tsk, not so clever were they? All in all, I was impressed by Boyd's thought processes you wrote down (the stuff going back to Monterrey), it just made me think you've really thought this through. Brilliant.
I don't know why but the agency moment freaked me out quite a bit, and knowing we're coming to an end of book one... I can only speculate how you're going to finish this. I know I'm going to feel immense joy when I see you update next time. This chapter was such a punch but I'm on edge what's all this stuff with the agency even more.
So until next time, thanks!

I've been reading In the Company of Shadows over the past week or so, and I am wholeheartedly in love with it! I can't wait to read more of it. And I noticed in the beginning of the last chapter posted that Sin had a sweater instead of just a shirt riddled with holes. What a change. :)

Hi,
I've been reading this story from the beginning, and I've always waited for the new chapter. I like the story very much. I always wondering what will happened in the end. I like a happy ending story, although it's up to you as the writer. I wish Boyd and Sin could just escaped the agency, and start a whole different life and remain a couple as well.
Sorry, it took me so long to update, because I just don't know what to say.
Keep up the good work

"I love you", and I love YOU because of the way you wrote that. Not sappy, perfect for your style. And perfect for Boyd's style. I had imagined Sin would be a bit more confused about it, but he took it quite well. And the most important thing is the caring is mutual.
My heart is racing when I read the action, very detailed. Hope they find Thierry and get out alive and well. Thanks for the update, sorry to hear about the writer's block though!

I loved the interaction with the psychiatrist. It was...well, it showed that a lot of parts of Sin's personality changed, because he was pretty laid-back, still sarcastic, but not in a threatening way.
And that he sort of apologized to Ann was...surprising. And I liked that she didn't react completely like a bitch, if you know what I mean.
As always, the way Boyd and Sin behaved around each other - how comfortable they were - was simply perfect. It sort of reminds me of Monterrey...haha, the good old times ;)
Carhart is just adorable when he's surprised about Sin talking/acting differently than before.
Owen is simply fantastic xD
And gosh, the "I love you" was perfect. It's very much like Boyd to "inform" Sin about his feelings in such a calm manner. I liked how Sin wasn't all "I love you, too" because obviously that wouldn't be like him. (not that I think that he should never tell him so... ^.~) But the things he said afterwards showed that he cared, too, so it's all good. <3
The plot development is awesome as always, really. It's great how you always manage to do both, keep the plot alive but also concentrate on Boyd and Sin's relationship.
But that's an evil cliffhanger, really. I mean you said you you cut it in half, but still. By the way, I love how long your chapters are. <3
What an awesome chapter, I already look forward to the next again :D
Sorry to hear you're having a writer's block. Hope it'll go away soon :)
