I have to disagree with the previous reviewer and say this:

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS A SMUT STORY PLEASE.

I mean, sex is okay when the time is right, but what makes this story awesome is that it is not just screwing, it's more about feelings. And the plot, brilliant. You deserve more reviews really, this one's the best story under slash here, period. I said under slash because it's more than just slash. Although I do appreciate that part very much, hehe. Maybe In The Company of Shadows is too difficult for some, I don't know. I am positively addicted though, I can't wait for the update! I think I'm in love with Sin.

Two things I want to give critic for. Maybe occasionally Boyd's analyzing of all events went on a little too long. Sometimes same thoughts were written again and again, in different words. This didn't happen too often though. I don't know. I just kinda like the "straight to the issue" way myself. And also, at the beginning of the story, there were words like "bored" (as in "he looked almost bored") and some others used maybe a little too much. These were connected mostly to Boyd's lack of emotions. I know it must have been hard to describe though.

So, that is all for now. Man, you need to update I need my fix. Keep up the good work!

I love the new chapter, particularly because Night Watch is one my my favourite Terry Pratchett's books, so I hope Sin likes it =)

The chapter is really cute, it seems there is going to be a happy end after all. For a while I was worried that Sin might kill Boyd to stop getting sexually frustrated.

I like the way Sin tries to control his emotions - Boyd has a positive effect on him. I'm looking forward to next chapter! =)

Awww! CUTE! *feels all warm and fuzzy now* Best chapters ever to be honest.

I was away for the weekend and this was one of the first things I checked when I got home. (Ye, I am indeed addicted to this story.) My god, so happy to see multiple updates! *o*

All I can say is: YEEESSSS! AHAHA! (As you can see, these chapters have made me extremely excited. >8D )

Alright, I suppose I can actually say more then that and elaborate a bit more! I'll start with saying that I am very proud of Boyd! He really stood up for himself! *cackle* I couldn't help but turn into his little cheering squad while reading these last three chapters. It was just so wonderful to see him tell his bitch of a mother off like that. I have gained a new love for the word: 'no' now. And Connors; love the determination there. Even standing up to Connor's secretary was awesome. >XD

I also like how there were still a lot of details and descriptions about Boyd's feelings and his thought processes. Rather then him just saying: 'Wow, I feel bad, I'll go save Sin.' and then running in there. We can see how Boyd isn't quite out of his depression all of sudden; he's still got a lot of issues. He's still confused, but at least realizes just how much he needs Sin and just how much his exsistence itself relies on him. Things are still fragile, but slowly getting better. I'll admit that I enjoyed how these last few chapters played out; with things between Boyd and Sin suddenly becoming quite friendly, but at the same time, I like how things could still go wrong and probably will eventually. That's just another great thing about this story; it's pretty unpredictable!

For the time-being however, I'll stick to rooting for more cute and fluffy moments. Chapter 23 is definitely my favourite chapter of the story to date. Filled with Boyd/Sin communication-ness! And toe-tapping and pillow-throwing and hugging and-- *goes of in a fit of giggles and just plain demented sillyness* Awwww! >X3 After all the highly depressing chapters, this was a much needed change in pace. Yay for cuddling!

Wow, as happy as I am about how things worked out, I am surprised that Boyd didn't get in some serious shit over it all. Breaking a bunch of rules, etc. Although, at the same time, I'm not going to complain either! I think the two deserve a bit of a break from the Agency's retarded actions. Guess Connors isn't all that bad after all. Still hate Vivienne, but at least she did something useful it seems. And Carhart is in my good books at this point; he really does seem to be an okay guy and his reaction to seeing Boyd and Sin together was a tad cute itself. Oh and of course, cheers to Luke for calling Boyd and helping him out. Hopefully he can get some of the rookies on his side and start a team of tolerable guards. >83

I've been put into such a good mood now; I can barely feel anger towards Sin's unfair treatment. I guess it's also because even though it was bad, it could have been worse. I was actually expecting it to be, so I was somewhat relieved to read that the guards hadn't really done anything to him. Although, the fact that he tried to kill himself by banging his head against a toilet bowl was a tad disturbing. Quite glad Boyd rescued him when he did. *cheers Boyd on again*

Also nice to see that Sin finally realizes that Boyd honestly does care about his well-being and seems like he'll trust him again. And also how he admitted that he had been a bit of an ass before. *cough* While I'd like to say it took both Boyd and Sin to fuck up equally to mess up their previous relationship, I think Sin ended up over-reacting a lot more. Aw heck, nevermind, forget who 'messed up' first, them apologizing to eachother makes things all better now. *continues to be obsessed with how cute it all was* I still love them both! >X)

Okie dokie, I think I've embarrassed myself enough for one review. Once again, wonderful writing and all the updates were very much appreciated. So glad chapter 23 ended on a positive note, rather then some evil cliff-hanger. Although...it would have been better if Boyd stayed and hopped back into bed with Sin. ;D

I've just read the new chapters and I'm grinning like stupid. The descriptions of Sin's punishment and his reaction were really disturbing, but Chapter 23 was probably the cutest thing I've ever read. I so happy Sin finally starts trusting Boyd! And I love the way Boyd finally decides to stand up against his mother!

And it's nice there are some normal people in the Agency, not only sex obsessed bastards, even though Boyd's mother is still a bitch.

But now I just can't imagine the way the story will develop - before Chapter 23 it was all about getting Sin to trust Boyd and getting Boyd to overcome his insecurities. And now they have sort of done it, so what happens next?

Wonderful, wonderful. Both that Boyd managed to get Sin out of the box - and that he finally confronted his mother.

BTW - I only mentioned the 'wordiness' because you asked for opinions. I have other opinions, too - the story is excellently plotted and charactered!
