I don't really know how to begin writing this review, the story is so amazing that I don't think I could do it justice with my words. I saw it recommend in someone's website and decided to read it... not sure about what I was going to expect but intrigued by the main character's description. After the first chapter I became interested and wanted to know more about the Agency, about what had happened to the world and I really wanted the main characters to interact. I have to say that the plot is wonderful, your descriptions are great and it shows that you have really invested a lot of time thinking about everything. The state of the world is horrible and the must horrible thing is that it isn't something really far-fetched, it's something i can actually imagine happening to our world. The missions Boyd and Sin have are so interesting... it was good when they started questioning what they were doing (I still think that they should leave the Agency, even if know with Vivienne taking control over it... i hope things can be better for them)... It was horrible what Connors was capable of... but it was even more horrible what prejudice and gossip can do to people. I was always so angry for they treating an human being as an animal... and hating someone just because they are different to them (in Boyd's case). I also have to say that you have managed to create amazing, wonderful and so interesting characters, I hate one of them, I feel sympathy for other, I can relate to some... But definitely the work you did with Boyd and Sin is completely superb, they are both beautiful and touching characters, with flaws and virtues... but most importantly they are so painfuly human. Their pasts, their doubts, their actions and must importantly the relationship they have with each other is great, I have seen few things like that chemestry in other characters. I'm now in love with them and I don't think I could ever forget this story. I would have loved to comment every chapter but... I just couldn't wait to go and read the other and the other chapter (even if I have got lots and lots of things to do, like studying for my final exams). Their mission in Mexico was extremely good... it was the real awakening of their feelings and Sin could begin to be himself and not the monster almost everybody thought he was. I find their relation to be so intense, their need to be with each other and their love so wonderful... (even if Sin doesn't know that he loves Boyd XD). I also liked your description of the places they visited, I am myself from Mexico and it was great to see that your phrases in Spanish were good, pretty good (just... white little boy would be blanquito and not blancito). I felt myself so affected by the lost ones, by the torture that Sin suffered and you managed to make me doubt if Sin would live or not... (I have hope until the end XD he just couldn't die!). And the mental torture that Boyd had to suffer (and Syn too! that box is HORRIBLE!) was terrible... even more when Syn woke up from the comma and he was all cold again. My heart broke when Sin cried and was going to kill himself... I think that was one of the most emotional chapters of the story, even more that when Sin tolds Boyd the story of his past and the scene of the forest when Boyd showed him his scars. But not everything was suffering, you made me laugh and smile and want to hit them because they could have kissed and solved everything more quickly.... I could keep writing and writing tons of paragraphs about this wonderful story (about Lou -his death was terrible-, Vivienne, Sin's parents, Ryan... and so many more things) but now... I should go and finish all the work that I haven't done in the day (so I can go and read the second book). Finally, thanks for sharing all this with us, you are truly talented writers :) (And sorry if my review doesn't make sense at all).

I will give you a long and good (or I hope so) review when I finish reading Evenfall (I have been reading it for days... because I have exams and too much work -but it's much more interesting reading this than doing work-) but I have to say... that for a moment I thought that the smuggler was Sin's dad and that he never died. I don't think that's true now... but I really want to know who is that guy. I'll have to keep reading. Thanks for writing such a wonderful story! :)

Great story, it has me completely hooked. The thing is I don't know if it's a dystopia o it's a cyberpunk story. Anyway, I just wanted to make a little correction, in spanish "blancito" it's incorrect, the word is "blanquito".
Thanks for writting!

Just a short note since the story is complete;
I love the fact that I don't even doubt anything in this story.
Normally I have the time, while reading, to sit and complain about plotholes and stuff.
But when reading this (from first chapter to last) I just sit and go "Oh, so he pulled a rainbow out of his ass and defeated the wicked witch. Okay, that sounds about right.."
XD looking forward to the next book, I will be reading that on the train tomorrow.

Emilio is that crazy Mexican bad ass mother fucker and he's the one who planned everything out including the hit on the Agency which is why he had so much inside info! Or so I am led to believe. This book was amazing, you should seriously look into getting it published. It was incredible.

wow! it took a few days of reading, but i finally finished reading! It was great! I really liked the characterisation, and the slow transition so that they became more than empty puppets into 'real' people. I remember pausing in the middle of a chapter and wondering when did Boyd get a personality, and realised that there was no place that i could pinpoint, the transition was so subtle. I appreciate that, it seems more realistic

Oh my God! That was really good the drama, sex, and the killing and emotions of all the people. I really hope you start on the second book if there is one.

Wow. Umm, wow. *L* That's about all I can say, I've stayed up most of the night reading to finish, just like I've remained glued to my computer to read just a little bit more before I have to go to school, go to work, go to sleep... An incredible story with absolutely unforgettable characters. I especially love how the plot continues to move, no matter how distracted they get or what is going on in the background, the main storyline remains constant. I'm really glad you wrote this and shared it with us and I greatly look forward to the next book as well.
