Chapter 7 - How did I miss two chapters? Oh my God. He fucked A GIRL? I mean seriously. Rayne I can understand but A GIRL? And it wasn't JUST to have kids? I am shocked. Woah. When did Kivixl come into the sequel thing? I haven't seen him in the other 6 chapters.

I don't know how I missed the previous chapter. But I did - and so I got to read two tonight!

Both really good - furthering the story and the relationship.

I am going to point out a couple of things I don't like - at the same time recognizing this is YOUR story - and what you do is up to you.

But I really wish Lark hadn't got so fond of thinking and saying 'fuck' - the use of that word makes him much less appealing to me. (As it does to anyone who uses it...)

Also don't like the word 'okay'. I tend to write historical things and I have absolutely forbidden myself to use it. It can be hard sometimes - but I don't think it fits in period pieces. (Yes - I do see Once A Slave as a period piece.) It's actually amazing it took so long for that word to come about, isn't it? So convenient for so many things...

Believe me - the only reason I make criticisms is because I LOVE this story!

Chapter 8 - Oh. Okay. I get it. Well, that was a wonderful, wonderful gift. Really. Awesome chapter. God. I loved this chapter. And the promise of dirty dreams? Oh my God. I seriously can't wait. The sexual tension was just...amazing. Seriously, though, why the fuck aren't they fucking on the floor, in the sink, on the ceiling, everyfuckingwhere yet?

Oh, I almost forgot. Merry Christmas, Hannukkah, Kwanza, etc etc etc. I think Happy Holidays sums it up, though. So... Happy Holidays! I never realized how odd that sounds.

your writing abilities are as astonishing as ever. this had me choking with laughter:

'"Forgive me, M'lord," I say, "I had no idea you'd get lonely this soon. Give me a minute." I forget the buttons and jerk the shirt off over my head, then wad it up into a ball and throw it across the room.'

oh god and the dreams... that will certainly be something. and i wonder who the man with the knife is? how creepy. love, love, love the new developments. i'll be impatiently waiting for more! ;) and i hope you have a wonderful holiday m'dear. :)

Chapter 6 - Oh wow. Would Naeven really rape someone over a debt. I don't think he would but then again I could be wrong. But I really, really don't think he's that cruel. I was really surprised that Lark would disobey Naeven infront of him. I would be scared shitless to do that. Monkey or no monkey. He's got some confidence now. Which I suppose is a good AND bad thing. But then again Naeven really hasn't done anything terrible to Lark at all. The only major flaw Naev has is that he's incredibly selfish. But his selfishness USUALLY makes sense. Anyways, I LOVED this chapter. It's probably one of my favorites of the series. Ahhh female pirates. Gotta love 'em.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I really loved that silent innuendo/metaphor with the tail. Ha. There was something else but I forget. I'm really tired. Hmmm. Something to end on so my second comment doesn't seem so worthless... can't wait for your next update!

Really, really good!....I love how Lark takes advantage of the situation, knowing that Sactaren can't do much about it as a monkey...(pulling his tail!...I'm sure Sactaren will get him back for that one...lol..)
So, will we ever find out if Sactaren 'took' Stingray?....Or have you left that for us to decide ourselves?...

Naeveen was absolutely adorable as a monkey in this ch. I just wanted to grab him and squeeze him till he pops.I don't know how lark kept from petting him. i also loved your discription of his facial expressions. I could just picture the monkey with attitude.
