Mmm... I like those two talking together. They should do that more often. Conversation with them is never boring.

Will they ever get it on?? I really like this story. I thought I wouldn't at first but now I look forward for new chapters.

This was an amazing chapter. Really explaining Lark's fears. Making the reader feel it, too.

Since I'm always trying to figure out WHY a passage move me (so I can use the technique in my own writing), I want to comment on the wonderful desriptions, too. I particularly like the energy disbanding like 'gnats blown away by the wind', and the flux of colors as the energies merge.

And I really like that Lark has lost his obsession with the F-word...

Chapter 13 was great! (Actually, your entire story is great.)

Anyway, I'm very interested in how Lark's view on sex is evolving. I wonder what he's going to do about it... Cant wait for the next chapter!

And just so you know, I tried to get to the voting page, but it was "currently not available". But I promise to try later on. Once a slave is definitely worth it!

holy shit, that is really frightening what lark is capable of! but what made me even more upset is how sactaren treated him afterward, calling him emotionally unstable. pot meet kettle. i can't believe what an asshole he's being. i'm trying to wrap my mind around how they can come together again and forgive and forget and build their relationship back up but i can't think of what would cure their incessant stubbornness toward one another. perhaps the act of high magic will improve things, but i'm more inclined to predict it'll make everything worse as it has in the past- either way, i can't wait to find out. :)

Chapter 12 - I don't think it's too out of character or that it takes away from the story. Schaff was upset. No big deal. It happens. People get a bit out of character when they're angry, frustrated, and or horny. Anyways, it was a great chapter. I loved it.

Chapter 13 - Well, now. That was severely hot. Poor Lark, though. He obviously wants Naeven but he's just so traumatized by his past that he can't do anything about it yet. Oh well. I knew he was going to hurt someone eventually with his magic. But I thought it would be Rayne. Congrats on your nomination! I hope you win!

I just knew Sactaren wasn't going to rape... whoever. Just could never convince myself he was totally bad.

And, poor, sweet Lark - so confused by his feelings, so vulnerable to being hurt.
