The psychological insight you are able to provide as an author, makes me wonder whether you are a sociopath yourself or a mere insightful person. =)
It grabbed my attention and am looking forward to updates. Chapters are long and worth reading. I can sympathize with Kody and I am suspecting that that is what you want to achieve with your readers. Clearly detailed background information and the memoires prove to be an ideal way of doing this.
Only point of criticism: interweave Kody's reminiscence with Julian's story. I think the long chapters of Kody's diary can put some people off.
