i understand your decicion, even though i don't like it. I don't understand why some people can't respect others property. now i'm terrefied we won't get to read the end though :( and if you put it up again, that i'll miss it. I do keep a close watch here at aff, though it's easy to miss stuff here. is there a possibility that you could perhaps create a mailinglist for your fans, and send an email if there are any news? i think may fans would agree with me that it would be greatly appreciated. We want to support you through this!

Wow...what a sucky situation! I love this story, and was planning on rereading it before reading the newest chapter, but I completely understand that you need to do this. Did the person send you this message through AFF? Maybe you can have the IP address tracked and get them blocked. Good luck! I hope the crazy person leaves you alone!
Also, I don't know if I've reviewed before or not so I wanted to let you know I think your stories are awesome.

Just a little fyi on copyright - before you read the following know this: your work as soon as you published it was copyrighted. You do not need to do anything in order to have that apply. In order to SUE, you'll need to file a copyright fee for about $35 (the info below is dated)
Addtionally, should she publish your work anywhere you can find it using programs that search the internet for your particular wording/paragraph etc.
You can also file a complaint with her/his Internet Service Provider
Furthermore, here is how you sue her for legal damages (or her/his parents if she/he is underage). You can do this quickly and efficiently in small claims court btw, at little cost to you to start with - and fees incurred will come out of her/his pocket should you win (which, since you can prove you published first, you will):
Registering a Copyright
Given the fact that an author owns the copyright in his or her work the moment the work is fixed in a tangible form without a formal copyright notice, why bother to formally register the copyright in a work with the U.S. Copyright Office? There are several reasons to register:
To sue someone for copyright infringement the owner of the work must first register the work with the U.S. Copyright Office. You may register the work after someone has infringed upon the work, but the registration will only apply to infringements that occur after the registration. However, if you register your work within 90 days of publication, the statutory damages provisions apply to infringements before and after the actual registration.
Registered works may be eligible for statutory damages up to $100,000 and attorney's fees in successful litigation.
If the registration is made within five years from the creation of the work, it is considered prima facie evidence in a court of law.
Registration is inexpensive ($20 per work registered) and relatively simple. To register the author simply fills out the copyright application and mails it to the U.S. Copyright office with a check and a nonreturnable copy of the work (one copy if the work is unpublished and two copies if it has been published). Works that have been published must be registered within three months of the publication. This is called "mandatory deposit".

Considering that small claims court allows damages of $5000, it's actually a money maker for you to pursue this course of action.
Couple of notes I want to add:
The fact that she/he threatened is actually malice aforethought. Which CAN mean pain and suffering.
You should create an ebook out of your story and offer it for sale on Amazon.com to prove that your story has a tangible worth. (if you need to know how to do this, I can tell you - it's free). Alternatively, you can post advertisements on your website and show revenue brought in by visitors as proof that she is, in fact, stealing revenue from you.
I'd really consider letting her/him know these factors beforehand. In the end, someone that has 1461 reviews, should protect their story.
PS if you have any questions, you can email me at brattsy @ gmail dot com

Whoa, that sucks. But I guess with greatness and fame come the crazies hum? Clearly your awsome writing skills have driven people to extreme measures. But do please continue with this story somehow where I don't have to pay for it ;_;. I am a poor college student and aff is my reading material. Anyway I am really sorry for the trouble the creeper has put you through, hope they don't do it to other writers.

THANK YOU! I'm always worried that each new chapter will end up being your last and you'll eventually forget about us =( But you didn't so yay! Not only that but we get an extra chapter? Double yay! =D And I'm also hoping that you will post the next chapter by the end of August. Hopefully... Anyway, but I love that Shawn and Uri are finally making progress and even kissing again! (Go Uri!) I would have liked to have seen the date before you cut off the chapter but considering how long the chapter is, I don't mind too much ^_^ Also, wow, I can't believe Dan and Nate are ok with Uri liking his cousin/brother. If I had a friend in such a situation I probably would've ended up like Uri and just think "Incest". He has really great friends ^_^ Like always, I can't wait for the next amazing chapter! Please, hurry!
