This will be the first time I've left a comment but I've thoroughly enjoyed every chapter that's been posted up to this point. There are a lot of things I loved about this one as well, it was nice to see Rane and Dan in the picture again. What confused and really disappointed me was how this chapter ended. My first thought was that this had to be a very bad dream for Uri (part of me still wants to believe that) because, imo, the ending was too OOC for Shawn. Maybe I've been missing the signs, its natural for there to be an inner struggle with this kind of situation and I always knew that he had a lot of insecurities.. but never that kind of violence. He was always the protector in my eyes and to read about him hurting Uri physically and mentally was too much for me. It really broke my heart because I just can't see a happy ending now, not one where I can still respect the characters. I hope you can prove me wrong T___T

I've read the last chapter yesterday so I had some time to digest what was written there and shake out of the shock I was in after finishing it. Because that's how you react to a blow like that.
To tell you the truth I don't understand it. The last bit of the chapter is so surreal that the only thing I can do is pray it is dream. Uri did stumble upon his aunt's letter, after all... I know it's far fetched, but maybe he subconsciously knew he and Shawn aren't really brothers... And even if there was nothing to trigger bad memories of Kyle dreams are weird. You never know when nightmares resurface. So, I know it's feeble at best, but that's the only way out of this mess I can see.
Because if it wasn't a dream? It's over. Fin. Even if Shawn doesn't end up raping Uri the whole stunt shows he's mentally unstable. And there's no future with someone like that, especially if they attacked you once already. If it really happened, no matter how much Shawn will regret it afterwards Uri would be an epic idiot if he took him back. Because with an unstable person like that you never know what will set them off the next time. What was it this time? A peck on the lips from an ex-boyfriend. So a hug from a friend when wishing happy birthday would have a new risky aspect from now on. A sleepover at Dan's. A shower after P.E. class. Uri would have to be on his toes all the time. He'd be a nervous wreck after a few months. Nothing's worth it.
As I said before I don't understand the last scene. Shawn's acting totally out of character, there was nothing that would justify or even prompt an outburst like that. that's why I'm clinging to the "dream" explanation so desperately.
Never has a chapter evoked such mixed feelings in me before. I was so happy to read about Rane and Dan finding themselves. I was always a fan of Rane and seeing him smiling again was a huge relief. Even more so since he and Uri are friends again. It was a very good chapter, for the better part of it. That's why the last few lines were such a blow.
I know you plan on giving them a happy ending. But as I see it, if what you have written happened for real, it's no longer possible. U_U

Oh now that was just plain CRUEL.
This story is AMAZING and I always lookk forward to updates, but I think I may die of curiosity before the next one. WHAT the HELL just happened?!

I've been following this story on Fictionpress.com and I'll say the same thing: AWESOME STORY!!!

Really, there is too much for me to talk about here, so keep up the great work! And I'm excited to see how all of this will play out between Uri and Shawn, since Shawn has basically blown any chance of a future he has with Uri now. Uri is gonna be traumatized for life, and since Shawn is his COUSIN, nobody told him, and how is he supposed to trust his family again?!?!

"THAT HAD BETTER BE A NIGHTMARE/DREAM SEQUENCE"
I refuse to think that Shawn would act like that. I call no way, no freakin way.
