Will this be actual lovey-dovey sex, as in Shay sharing the same feeling, or will this be just Shay using his body so Randy will leave him? I hope its him telling Randy he loves him!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I liked this ch but it was really sad. You did a good job showing Shay's helplessness and anuish in the face of his mother's removal. I also thought the family park day was the sweetest thing ever. they really seemed like a family. Than the inclusion of the old biddy was like the wake up call that reality was still there and might be intruding soon into their lives. I am going to go ahead and read the next ch.

I don't think Larry is going to let Bryant out. I don't know what Larry gets out of him being institutionalized since they really didn't have contact before. I guess the towns people won't be able to talk about his crazy wife anymore but it seems to me that even without seeing Bryant they still talk about him. Oh and I had been meaning to ask in your universe does any male have the potential to give birth or is it just some and is there some distinguishing feature? I was wondering because if the roles were reversed and Shay topped Randy would he get pregnant?

This chapter makes me think of a report I did on Dorothea Dix in elementary school. She started a crusade, and in the end succeeded, in improving the treatment of the mentally ill. Maybe Shay should become a crusader, get the whole stupid institution shut down. I'm pretty sure that what they were doing is something that they could get in serious trouble for, holding him down, cussing at him, calling him a retard. I would be seriously pissed if I'd seen that, he reacted a lot better than I would have. Though I guess in his case, he probably feels a distinct lack of options especially in a town where everybody looks down on him. Some people talk about small towns like they're so quaint and sweet, but if you do one thing wrong in your pretty much screwed for life. Maybe I'm off base, but it just feels like in small towns you can find the most judgemental people you'd find anywhere. I like my big city. If I'm crazy, nobody gives a crap. If I sleep with everybody, or have a child out of wedlock, I'd be one of MANY and again nobody would give a crap. Life's so much.... I dunno what word I'd be lookging for, in a big city. Maybe simpler or freer. Yea, I'll shut up now. My excuse is that it's 5am and I really need to sleep.

Ack, somehow I missed an update - Aww, poor bryant, it's not like the hospital could actually do anything but keep him drugged up..I hope they manage to get him out.
