Fascinating story, I hope you keep updating. Two things I'd just like to comment on:
I fail to see the logic behind the were-leopard's capture. Since he walked home alone it was his fault that he was kidnapped? Isn't that like saying since women have vaginas they're basically just asking to get raped? There's no logical jump between a guy walking home alone and being kidnapped by a vampire with no morals. If he'd been walking home with a friend, why wouldn't the friend just be killed or kidnapped as well?
The second thing is that if the wereleopard has constantly had to struggle with people identifying him as human or beast (at least, that's what I gathered from all the comments about his past, being unable to commit fully to relationships, how his parents treated him, etc), shouldn't having to wear a collar and being treated like a child-pet be a bit more damaging to his psyche?
I don't mean to sound harsh or critical, I ask because I care :P

I just sent this to you Wandering, hopefully it reached your inbox :) But just incase I decided to post it here. Thank you very much for your review, and everyone else's as well. I'll reply more personally later.
Hi wanderingaddict,
I don't mind your questions at all. They didn't seem all that critical/whatever to me, either that or I'm just really easy going or something, either way *shrugs*. I don't have the next chapter up or fully ready to be so yet but I wanted to response to your questions a head of time :)
1. The reasons as to why he was capture hasn't really come across. Bram alludes to having been watching him quite often. The reason that Martin continually beats himself up about it was that his gut instinct had told him to not go home alone that night / take a different route...wouldn't probably have made a difference, but Martin doesn't dwell on that in the slightest. If he had walked home with someone, they would have been killed more than likely. As I said I haven't gotten to the point at which I'm going to explain more from Bram's pov, why he was taken. Correct me if I've not followed your question correctly. I think the bit about women having vaginas gets them raped got me a bit confused how that related to your question, but I'm running with it :)
2. The collar etc, is damaging. However Martin has a mental toughness to him. If anyone(considering that there aren't were's, etc), if any person is thrown into a similar situation and has no desire to be there, yes the degradation is going to chip away at them, but not right away if they're mentally tough, and bent on something entirely different, in Martin's case, revenge, escape, anger. He's focused on those emotions rather than the slow demeaning of his self worth. Yes he's been faced with it in the past, hence the almost mental wall that he's put in place.
I hope these answers help :) I'll post them under the reviews just in the event that you have a filter set up that deletes this email.
Thanks for your questions, and hopefully as the story continues more of this is explained thoroughly enough.

Ahhh - Bram knows just how to handle his kitten. Setting the sweet puppy who'd befriended him to break his spirit.
But will it work? Our little Martin is a fighter...
Conversely, will Bram actually be pleased if it does work?
Hmmm - waiting for the next update!
