You take this seriously but beraking your foot to emphazise with your figures seems pretty much to me :-)
I like the chapter thus far. If it wouldn't end the story too soon (In my opinion you can go on writing forever.) I'd say - BEAT HIM, MARTIN!
Good luck for your exams! (I'm with you, doing the same prep-stuff over here.) BTW your German is good, don't worry about the fluency - it's nothing we expect from German students anymore. Most of the time it's like: "Subject - attribute - object. At least try to talk in whole sentences. Verbs please!"
