Chapters 21 and 22 were both really good. I liked how everything John threw at Jessica was countered. It was kind of frustrating to read. And the story of Aivon's past was a bit sad. Made me like the character a bit more, though. =3 Can't wait to see what happens next.

That battle at the beginning of the flashback was awesome. Now I am really curious about Midas. I like how you gave away just enough information without really revealing anything. I now wonder what role the new Midas will play in all of this.

Chapters 10-12:
Oops! So Hieas DIDN'T take Aivon. (I got confused about who the last "him" referred to at the end of Chapter 9.) But that's good, because now Aivon and Midas can train, learn some cool new spells, and eventually kick demon ass. (I nearly wrote "kiss demon ass" -- but that would be one of my stories.)
I thought that the discussion about the different realms of magic, describing their strengths and weaknesses, was quite interesting. And I feel so terrible for poor, scared Monica! I hope her mom and dad come to rescue her soon.
Love,
Falcon

Chapters 7-9.
Wow! Those chapters went by in a rush. The action really kept me on the edge of my seat -- nothing like watching our heroes get trashed to make a reader nervous! I mean, if something can beat Midas, it must be REALLY badass. I thought the final attack that Hieas and Aivon used against each other, the elemental dragons, was a very neat idea. I could really visualize how cool that would look.
And now Hieas has snatched Aivon for some cruel purpose? Things don't look too good, and I have a feeling they're going to get worse before they get better. But you have a knack for getting our heroes out of the most impossible situations, so I'm hopeful that all isn't yet lost.
Can't wait to read more!

Greetings! It's me, your loyal (but somewhat sporadic) reader!
Chapters 4-6: I really liked the way you showed John and Aivon reacting to Midas's arrival. Both men are in the same position, with a wife and child, but their responses are quite different -- John takes the smaller view, wanting to protect his family, while Aivon takes the larger view, realizing that if he doesn't protect the world, his family is screwed anyway. Both are understandable positions, which illustrate some of the subtle differences between these two characters.
I also think Dosa's unabashed hero-worship of his father is quite cute!
And thanks for your review of "Fallen." I really appreciate it, especially since I've been so bad about reviewing stuff recently.

That was really good. I liked how Midas had to deal with emotions he didn't quite understand. Nicely written, as well, to get the reader sort of inside his head and to grasp what it is he's going through.

Man, John fell right into that trap. XD Now as long as his daughter doesn't carelessly bleed on the book...
Diamond Cut sounds like an awesome attack.
I liked this chapter, too. Now to see what the other group has to face.

I like the whole unknowing thing going on through the story. Like the book and background on Johns parents and how just by going to Obiza they will learn something on both. This was a really good chapter. =3
