Oh, very interesting chapter. My only question is, did Drake see what happened? He seemed like the was going to follow, but did he end up catching up to his wayward little minx? Wonder what he thought if he did witness that tasty little feeding? Can't wait to find out what happens next.

ohh i wonder what cyprien's reaction will be! will he be enraged? and did drake see this little incident? the suspense is killing me as usual :) oh, i love the way you revealed the vampires in the form of birds, it added yet another predatory and chilling element to them. can't wait for more :D

I hope Drake doesn't kill that poor kid. I have the feeling he's the tempermental type who'd take offense to that sort of thing . . .

I know what you mean about the ego boost. I have a story posted on three sites, and the last one, I got some really good comments. So after a year, I decided to update it. :)

Well, although I don\'t like the idea of Teige spending the night with a random stranger, maybe this is just what Drake needs to force him into making his move? Can\'t wait for the next chapter ^-^

Poor Drake. I think he\'s unraveled just about as much as one man can unravel. But for someone like him, it takes a descent into madness to finally admit the truth. Maybe it\'s just a silly hunch on my part, but I get the feeling that as long as he keeps calling Teige \"woman\", he\'ll never be able to truly hurt him.

I thought that the idea of Teige gradually developing an immunity to being turned was interesting and innovative -- I don\'t think that I\'ve ever seen it done before. But the concept makes a lot of sense. I\'m really curious to find out how our heroes will manage to reverse the process once they realize what\'s going on.

Very sweet moment with Drake carrying Teige into the tent after Teige faints. A nice hint that there\'s some hope for our lovers, despite all the earlier knife brandishing. If Drake can ever manage to be intimate with a CONSCIOUS person. *Wink*

I loved this line: \"The words slammed against his skull like a hammer against dry papier-mâché...\" Very powerful image.

And don\'t worry. Not all your female characters are bitches. I remember there was a nice lady in in \"White Rabbit\" -- the one who ran the boarding house where Ashi stayed. And in \"Breaking The Fall\" both the ex-wife and daughter were really lovely people. So far, in what I\'ve read, only the Elf Queen comes across as truly unpleasant. And we\'re probably not seeing her on her best day...

Well it looks like someone is finally through being in denial... so much for subtelty *he he* This is shaping up to be one of the best fics I\'ve ever read. Teige, especially, is turning into one of my all-time favourite characters -- glad to know he\'s not developing a fatal allergy to sunshine btw ^_~ I love when a seemingly weaker character turns out to be more than expected and Teige is doing exactly that. It\'s great that he has strengths and skills of his own, instead of just looking pretty for Drake (which, clearly, he isn\'t too shabby at either *grins*). Can\'t wait to see how Teige reacts to old Drakie\'s bull-in-a-china-shop way of handling his new found attraction. Did I mention how glad I am that you apdate so regularly ^_~

Another great chapter, just like the rest. Pretty mean cliffie though. I can\'t wait to see what Teige chooses -- know where I\'d put my money though... grins salaciously...

Ooooh! Bondage and a kiss! You do know the way to my wicked little heart, don\'t you? The image of Teige in shackles, blindfolded, and being kissed by Drake...very sexy! And that was only a stage kiss. I can only imagine how absolutely luscious you\'ll make the real thing.

The elf queen really made me want to slap her. What a bitch. I hope Cyprien eats her. But I know that the evil aren\'t always punished -- not in fiction, not in real life.

The scene with the two of them taking shelter in the tent while Teige tends to Drake\'s leg wound was a lovely mixture of intimacy and eroticism. Nice to see big, tough Drake finally forced to let the \"princess\" rescue him for once. And now Teige knows how Drake feels about him! Will he move away? Or will he become the solution? To be honest, I could imagine it going either way. Guess I\'ll just have to wait for your next update. (Oh, I am SO bad at waiting...)

I loved the line where Teige speculated about being attacked by a turkey. More of that fantastic dry humor.
