I'm on Ch. 6 now!
This story is awesome!
The characterization of your OCs is great, and so is the world-building. I like how you mixed 'medieval fantasy world' with 'vampires'. That is definitely a cool, unique combination of tropes.
Hilarious!
Great chapter!
Great story!
You definitely should add the last two chapters, which I saw on Gaia.
P.S - I will review the next chapters as well, since I know that you love reviews with the white-hot passion of a thousand suns!

This is an awesome fic! I read it in prolly 2 days time, it was so addictive. The characters are just gorgeously complicated, and interact so realistically with each other! Excellent job! I'm looking forward to more of this fic!

"Is that any way to greet family?"
Now how the hell did Raspel know he was his brother? Enquiring minds are wondering. He was what? Three years old when he was taken? I suppose Cyprien must have told him? Does Cyprien even know? Sneaky bastard. I'm sure he probably does know. In fact, I have to wonder if Cyprien was the one who took him? (I need to go back and read all the comments between the two and see if I missed something.) Poor Teige. What a hell of a choice to make. I love the description of how the blood racing through the veins and arteries is so vivid for him. It gives us a deeper appreciation of a vampires abilities. That's one of the best things about your writing. You have a way with words that makes the scenes come to life. Makes them feel more real. I could almost hear the rushing myself. I could almost feel the blood pulsing under the skin calling to him. His fear is palpable too. Would he be able to stop? I wonder why villians all want to do something that will make you hate them even worse than you already do. I suppose Cyprien figures that "if I've got to be miserable, so will you!" I am hoping Raspel has lots of nice blood in his body to give our poor Teige all the energy he needs. Will this give him the strength to somehow break out of there? Sure hope so. I know Cyprien will come after them, but hopefully Raspel will be able to hide them for a bit first til Drake can recover a bit. I'm wondering how he will take Teige rescuing HIM? Not well I fear. Well hopefully he WILL accept it. After all. EVERYONE needs a bit of help every now and then. I love the tenderness between Drake and Teige too. It's just the right amount of caring without going over to the total sappy area!! Very Good Job!!!

Raspel to the rescue!!! I was wondering, when/ if he would show up. I hope he is really there to help. I am also surprised that Teige is actually drinking from Drake. As that point drew nearer I was worried this would actually maybe have a tragic end, but now my hopes are back up. I'm a Raspel fan! Maybe we can hook him up with Teige's brother or better see, if there is another brother for Cyprien. I do feel sorry for the guy. The more I learn about him, the more I think he is just unable to express or live by the emotions he feels, because they are so new to him as a vamp. I know that's just an excuse, but still poor guy. I still don't want him to interfere anymore. Maybe he will see the light (ok, not a good idea) or be enlightened (also no good). Damn, maybe he will just understand that these two really care for each other and that real care looks a little different from his interpretation. But whatever you decide. Great job!

This was amazing! I can't even find the words ... just ... -sigh- Wow. Absolute highlight of my week. My favorite line - 'Teige’s voice sounded thick and breathy, like the rustling wings of a bird as it shook off morning dew after a long night’s rest...' Just beautiful, so poetic. And Raspel! I had honestly wondered if he was going to show up, but it still surprised me when he did. I guess I wasn't sure how deep his family ties ran. Of course, just because he's there doesn't mean he's going to help, right? ^_~ I totally loved the last line, made me laugh out loud!
Okay, so it's not exactly a typical fairy tale, lol, but really, I've heard that *original* fairy tales are really quite gruesome and scary. As always, I can't wait for the next chapter. Great job!

Great new chapter! I like the fix you came up with for the Drake-related issue I mentioned. Seeing Drake stuck with the options of either surrendering Teige to life with Cyprien (which he now recognizes would be a cold eternity of servitude), or allowing Teige to die, really traps him between a rock and hard place, and gives the chapter a nice sense of desperation.
Being a bit of a romantic, I love it when characters are willing to make sacrifices for each other, and this chapter certainly has plenty of that. Teige is willing to starve to protect Drake, and Drake is willing to be drained dry to ensure that Teige will live. Not to sound hopelessly sappy or anything, but that sort of thing really pulls at my heart strings. And Drake's trust, his absolute faith that Teige won't hurt him no matter what, is incrediably powerful. Especially considering the fact that, at the beginning of this story, he didn't even trust Teige to ride a horse without falling off. It just goes to show how deeply these two characters have come to know each other, and how deep their love for each other has grown.
And I really like the idea that people who are closely related have blood that tastes similar. That makes a lot of sense, but I never really thought about it before -- I just always assumed that blood tastes like blood. But of course, vampires would be able to taste subtle differences that humans wouldn't be able to pick up on. A very creative and inventive idea.
Can't wait for Chapter Twenty-One!

Hello! I've been lurking for like..ever I think. And I just wanted to say that I love this story! So amazing! :D!!
Also, Teige! Go with Cyprien!! @_@;;; *cough* Sorry I'm not a super Drake fan. He's pretty spiffy. But Cyprien's more my type. XD; But hey. If Teige doesn't want the sexy vampyre...I'll take him. And keep him in my closet. :D
Seriously though. I felt so bad for Cyprien because of his missed chance at happiness... ;.; He should be happy. Make him happy! Pleeease? *offers cookies and other yummies*

Ah, so Raspel gets to play the hero, now does he? Maybe you'll give us a happy ending after all. Lovely chapter, can't wait for more.
