This is such an enjoyable story. I'm so glad that Naeven changed his mind and came after Lark. Good job! Looking forward to the next update.

*SQUEE!* Ah! I can't TELL you how happy I am oohhhh...thank you, thankyouthankyouthankyou.......... I've had a lousy day today. A really, really lousy day. And I've been depressed, and miserable (sorta the same thing), then I read this...and now I'm near bouncing off the walls! (And just in time to save the day, too...less than two hours left. xD) No way to say how happy I am.
HE RESCUED HIM!! My favorite line evar: "My heart leaps. He’s come to rescue me!" I swear, I jumped out of my seat! Then there was the panicked moment that you would do something cruel and not have it all happen like I wanted...but then it did! And they talked! And it was all happy and fluffy. And ohhh, and when he thought Sactaren was going to kiss him! Ha! I was soooo excited there...xD I swear, my heart was beating nearly as fast as Lark's (not quite so fast as when he asked him straight up if he would sleep with him, but close). I thought Lark's mental dialogue was hilarious. And he's never been kissed before! I can't wait till they kiss...I'm so anxious now. But I'm happy. So I can wait a bity bit longer....maybe. :gonk: ^^
So many happy moments in this chapter...too many to count. I think the revelation about Schaff (well, both of them actually, that he was tricking them and that he could take on a 'humanoid' form) was cool. I'm not surprised really that Schaff had had a 'relationship' of sorts, with Naeven before. But I'm still glad the mage has got Lark now. =^.^= Ok, so technically he hasn't 'got' him yet..............but it will happen soon! Won't it? Please? Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top? And whip cream? And chocolate? And-....ok. I'll stop now. T_T
ANYway! Yeah. Uber loving your story to the max...and I'm glad to know you're still reading mine! Since you hadn't reviewed, you know, I didn't know whether you were still reading or not...but it makes me super glad to know that you are. ^^ And if you're enjoying it half as much as I am yours...then YAY! Nya. It's eleven at night and I'm already on the verge of illiteracy. o_O Awesome, awesome chapter. Absolutely can't wait for the next one! ^^ Oh...and as for Drake and Teige 'doing' something...I put them in a little log cabin together alone in the middle of nowhere...where it's cold!! How will they ever keep warm?!? xP Sorry. xD Translation: my update should be coming Friday!

PLease, I beg of you, don't ever stop writing fiction - particularly Once A Slave - because I am, in a word, addicted. You write so achingly beautifully - so tangibly that I've nearly been in tears for Lark and Naeven more than once thus far. That is truly fantastic to me. Can my praise fit into words further? You deserve more, for all the ones you've already given me. Your talent is remarkable, it leaves me speechless, and I am truly grateful that I decided to click that little blue link after all.
Hopefully next time I review you I will be able to excercise more eloquence.

Why do you keep doing this to us? I adore this story, but you torture us with these cliffhangers and beautifully written chapters, and I just want to read the next one RIGHT NOW, but now I have to wait another week to read the next part, and I think I'm going to go and cry myself to sleep and hope when I wake up, it will be next week and a new chapter will be out...

I never review a story unless it meet my higher then high stander(I am also useless at spelling) and you have more then meet that. I love your story. It is very enjoyable with a good 3D polt. You are so good at building a scene(not alot af people can do that) and making the reader feel want you them to feel, for me the mark of the good story is just that.
You must have a book deal or something cuz you are too good to be writting for free and you do not get alot of people in fanfiction who are that good and do you know why?(cuz there out there making money). In a few years time I hope you have a book out or the like. Good luck whit your story I will be reading untill the end(But reviewing is only something I do once). :)
