good so far
this is the first story i've read in the originals section, and i like what i've read so far
the dialogue seems a little bit stilted in a few places and you seem to describe people in the same way each time you introduce a new character (height, skin/eye/hair colour etc in a certain order)
thats the only thing i can think of that you might want to revise slightly
all in all very good though, i'll keep an eye out for the next chapter :)

decent first chapter
only thing is that you jumped from present tense to past tense and vice versa, it's easier to read if you stick to one (personally i prefer past but that's just me).
