I really loved this series. I never knew much about the war you were talking about but still this story took an emotional toll on me. As stupid as this sounds I cried through out the last chapter, not sobbing but I was crying. Thank you so much for writing this!
PS: I don't think a sequal should be made.

Hi Kolgrim,
I just started reading this, couldn't stop until after chapter four and decided I was being very rude not to at least stop and thank you.
Volkov is comforting Elias...*sigh*
I totally love this story so far. Yes I know already by the reviews it doesn't have a happy ending, but the truth of war is, it seldom does.
I'm so glad I found this, another wonderful story by you. You have now become one of my favorite authors on aff.
Okay, now I feel better and want to read more! Thank you for sharing and I will review more when I get further. *hugs*

Well now you did it, you made me cry, seriously.
Okay, I got to not like Alexander all that much, I think Elias heart was deserving of better, but I know he's young too and also a victim. I wondered if as you wrote this you liked him...just curious.
The important thing is, if you can make someone cry, make someone feel then you've done your job very well...and you have.
I'm very sure things similiar to this really happened and I also believe, like Elias, we should never forget those like him from the past, and that we should grieve for him and his family and for all wars and all who suffered and still do. You're story is like a candle, a small tribute and I'm very glad I read it, cuz these tears of mine are for the real Elias' and those in Iraq right now and those who died there...
Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for reminding me. =) Yes, I've still got tears, but I can still smile...
