i will gladly let you know what i think, lady amalthea! i think there's a very powerful imagery here. i think i love the way you've made the dissolution of your house come from within and without. i think i like it a lot. (i especially like the uncertainty of the winds rising...)

"I live in a house of cards with no roof."--this shows that your secure happy place is not.
"The King and Queen lay wasted to despair."--something overwhelming happened
"The eldest Prince, exiled in the name of honor."--I am curious as to this
"The youngest Prince is best seen and not addressed."--this is funny
"And the Princess, a helpless girl who forever dreams"--this is you
"of a white horsed knight to take her away and imprison her anew."--you realistically doubt he could solve your problems
"The winds, the winds, they rise!"--something is coming to wreck every thing as they have before. You are familiar with these winds, and know what they can do.
