i won't lie, it is rough. but frankly, it kind of gives it a workshop-y feel. sort of fun. like reading your journals.

anywho, i like the potential of this particular battle scene. surrender brings strong emotional opportunities, and an exiled people absorbed into an empire... i'll be around!

i like your premise. it's good your world is populated, i like that you have more than one race, and i especially like that you've chosen to include political maneuvering. it makes the story bigger than just your characters, and makes your world more believable. i do wonder if you aren't biting off more than you can chew by having quite so very many races, tribes, and peoples, though. who will you focus on? just some thoughts.
