Damn! I was hoping that the medal was going to give him all over protection and not just around his neck. @_@ Of course he still has to swallow, hmmmm. :) Certainly feels like things are going to become real intense as the birthing time arrives. I may be psychotic... I mean psychic, but I wish I could write with all the style and skill that you possess. Thanks for posting.

Holy... Poor Nicholas! Damn that must suck getting bitten like that... I guess it shows he wasn't as strong as he could hope to be. Too desperate for comfort to his aching heart he made a choice he would regret...

And I wonder how Marzi, Pepper and Kyle will react to this. They just HAVE to react! I can only imagine what will happen now... besides that the baby will be born soon of course!

Nicholas... I feel really bad for him. Having to suffer like that, and still trying to stay strong for Pepper... He's trying to be tough, but it must be hard for him.

And for Kale acting all humble like that... asking for Pepper's forgiveness, that sounds so unlike him... but I suppose he would have had to do it someday, and what better time then the present?

Can't wait for the next chapter! And I hope your holiday was good!

Oh, my gosh...poor Nicholas! No, seriously I'm getting teary eyed...that poor boy. Your last line was depressing! But, as a whole, your entire chapter is as wonderful as ever. Yes, Kale was very un-badass this chapter. I suppose it had to be done...and though I like the idea of him getting forgivness (and I love the way Pepper felt her anger, the way she told him that she didn't believe in a God that couldn't forgive him...that really struck a cord)...I still Kale in his badass form better though. He's just so awesome that way.

More Marzi next chapter! Yay! ^_^ I look forward to it as always.

Welcome back! My, oh, my - such a heart wrenching ending to this latest chapter. I have a horrible feeling that Cassie is going to take advantage of poor Nicholas even though Kale warned that perky little vampire to stay away. ;) Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks.

I can't believe I'm too lazy to sign in...but I wanted to review while my enthusiasm is fresh. That was awesome!! Sorry to skip to the end, but I love the interaction between Kale and Cassie. The way he defended himself was perfect, never denying that he loved, but making it blatantly obvious that it didn't spread to anyone but Marzi. It was just lovely. A nice reminder that Kale has definitely not gone soft...at least not totally. ^_^

Even though I skipped to tell you about that, I really do like the whole chapter loads. Before I knew she was evil...Cassie made me laugh. The way her monologue just keeps on going and going...I got a complete character picture...(that is until I found out she was a vampire...o_o) She was so nice! Never woulda suspected. In even the short bit that you described her, I felt like I knew her perfectly...and then she turned her back on me! Wonderfully written.

I also like the part where Kale compares Aryeh to a child in a playground...I got a hilarious mental image. Makes me happy. ^_^ Oh! And where Kale thought they should just dangle Nicholas in the air to catch evil...and Kale's reaction to the thought of 'intimate relations' with Nicholas! That made me laugh...again. I loved this chapter so much! (Sorry if I'm rambling now, I'm a bit sleepy...but I'm so glad you posted! I get to go to bed with bubbly happy thoughts. ^.^) Thanks again!

@6: crap! I had shivers the entire first one-third of this chapter. The part about Nicholas and Cassie was almost a relief, like an offering to us readers that Nicholas will be ok if Pepper gives him her news, but then the stand off between God's agent and Kale followed by his confrontation with Cassie really emphasised that the Inferno is a haven, but really, NOT a safe place.
