Hmmm...I wasn't expecting that ending. After reading the first couple chapters of the sequel to the Iki and Rio saga, I just stopped. It was all real angsty, which I like, but I just couldn't see where it was going and didn't really want to keep reading. Then, I came back to it and got really into it. Not sure why I couldn't get into it the first time. So, I guess Rio is a cutter now? That's a different twist. I was thinking the whole Doug feeding Iki thing would come out and give Iki a break from his unending guilt, but what fun would that be? But, when Devin came back to Rio that's what I thought would happen. I actually expected that the whole foursome thing would end up in bunches of angst. I mean, when do foursomes really work out? I liked it in the end. I think if the story had gone on further that it might have weakened the ending. And ending any earlier would have just been a bit too tragic.

Okay, you guys can't just leave the story like that???!!!! You are two going to write another story? Please, please, please say you are. Poor Rio and Ikl need a happy ending!

THE END??!! REALLY??!! FOR SURE??!! Really?

WOW!! Great and way painful reunion!! Lots of love though between
these two. If only love were enough!! But, more importantly, the
act of caring, the hanging in there, the laying down of rules, these
are all part and parcel of a enduring relationship and you all have
nailed it on the head!!

(Still want to see karma wack Devin's evil boyfriend.
Maybe there can be a special Chapter 17!! Devon finds
a hot guy who both loves him AND beats up Doug or Iki grows
to be a 5'11" hottie and kicks Dougs ass or Alerios grows to be
6'3" and 190lbs and kicks Dougs ass!!! HA!)

Thanks for the semi-happy ending!! I'm just gonna have to
project out everything I want to happen!! Lots of love, sex,
education, and money!!!!

hmmm... I just found this story recently, though I've been reading here for years. Very interesting. I'm particularly impressed with how you've taken a simple plot and truly carried through on the characters. The meat of a story in any media is not plot, but how the cause and effect in the characters' reactions. I love how those reactions in this story are put 'on the soapbox' and spotlighted. The best part is that, of all the authors who write about angst-ridden adolescent behavior, most fail... their characters are shallow, plots are rushed, and text is often poorly written. This piece actually manages to write about those times without sounding like some teeny-bopper pencil joyride. I look forward to upcoming chapters, which I hope are easier than the last for you to write.

now i'm sad. i should have read this first then the fluffiness of incoherence. i swear the world will never be perfectly right until the two of them are happy together again. they're my favorites i think.

So glad for the update. Devin needs to get a life. When do they find out what really happened to Iki?

so so SO glad you guys updated. i love these two so much, but i get the feeling much complication could arise in the form of devin. very extremely glad they're back together (somewhat). i do feel sorry for devin though. i hope you find someone nice for him.
