Wow... Okay, so I am constantly running all over this site and particularly the slash section, so I have no idea how on earth I managed to not find this amazing story until now. I am very glad that I did finally stumble upon it, at long last -- and I got so hooked that I ended up reading every last chapter up to 16.
I love this story. Often times I don't like writing teams -- so to speak -- because there tends to be something lacking in continuity or grace as the two writings styles meld. But you two are incredible together (and, I assume, separately). Instead of feeling awkward or disjointed, your writing styles and voices flow perfectly and help to define Reilly and Dainton as separate, whole characters. Plus, I'm at a loss to think of any other writers I've encountered on-line that are as completely syntax and language savvy as you two (I had to include that because I'm a total language nerd.)
Also, I am hugely impressed by the pace of the story. The bickering and general misunderstanding that Dainton and Reilly had for each other at the beginning of the story was quite classic. Plus, I liked it just for the way it sometimes stumbled, as if the two of them were really just thrown together by the drunken stampede of circumstances and were talking without the forethought of two talented authors mapping out their destinies...it gives the dialogue a real organic, conversational tone that I rather like. And I enthusiastically applaud the fact that, even as you have Dainton and Reilly meandering their way toward couplehood, you refrain from having them fall into too much froo-froo romantic rambling about one another. You admirably illustrate their emerging connection without having them suddenly abandon their established characteristics and launch into sonnets about how smitten they are.
At the risk of this review becoming unmanagably long, I also wanted to say how much I really like your characters. All of my favorite characters in any bit of writing are full of imperfections and self-doubt and given to contradicting themselves all over the map. I love all of the anti-hero tendencies that you've given Reilly and the guilt-laden awkwardness of Dainton. I can't wait to see what else you're going to do with them.
Okay, so that's it, except to say that chapters 15 and 16 were just brilliant and very yummy. Again, I applaude the fact that you didn't shy away from the reality of every last detail...and you still managed to make it incredibly stylish.

I really like this story. Kind of wondered when I started reading how you were going to make this premise work, but you pulled it off flawlessly. If you have an update list or something, please add me, can’t wait to see what happens next ^_~

Argh! They were so close, too. To the whole 'comprehensive communication' thing. For a second there, I thought they were golden! But I guess people with penises shouldn't be expected to communicate comprehensively and I should be happy with blisteringly hot sex, hmm? ^^() I suppose it'd be redundant to talk about how incredibly hot that chapter was.... 'cause every chapter of every story you two write seems to be amazingly sexy in some way, and I eventually run out of synonyms and metaphors and other ways of describing that fact. So thank you for finally updating, and I'll be in that corner over there, patiently waiting a few more months for the next chapter. After reading the update to Victims of Fate. Hooray, sex! <3

glad to see another chapter of this out. that was amazingly hot, but it looks like dain might not be as okay as he says. i hope reilly doesn't take it too badly if something is up, but knowing how your stories go so far as angst is concerned i imagine i'll expect the worst just to be safe. ;)

Hi!
You made me squeal when I saw the update ^__^ I was grinning like an idiot for quite a while, too. Anyway ...
The chapter was perfect but that's only to be expected. Those two together make sparks shoot in the air, that's for granted! Yet, I enjoyed that afterglow a bit more than the sex scene. I wonder about those two, was Dainton hiding something? Or is he always like that? And Ry ... getting worried about his friend/lover, almost freaking out about the possibility of hurting him. But still, there are things to be cleared out between those two.
What made me grin was Dainton's other side. Yup, poor innocent Dainton has quite a character!
Oh, I do wonder about Dainton's mother; she's been in hospital so far but I don't believe you're not going to bring her back. I think she's gonna cause quite some trouble to Dainton and Reilly.
Hm, that was a really good chapter, thanks for it and I'm already waiting impatiently for the next chapter!
See ya!

Oh. My. God.
I love this story with every inch of my being (and I'm pretty damn tall, so that's a lot of inches!!). I don't know why I didn't find it until now, but I'm so, so, so, so glad I did.
And I've never before in my life read such a good description of what a panic attack feels like. Hell, I'm a writer myself and I can't even describe how absolutely crazy and horrible and desperate I get when one hits. So yeah, awesome job. :)

I had all but given up on this story.
About time you all came back from wherever y'all went.
About the story. Good. Even better since I aint had my fix in a long time.
There was alot of sex. I don't mind that too, I reckon.
It was kinda strange him asking the other to sacriface his virginity to prove "I want you."
But overall I'm interested in seeing where you all are heading with this.
Welcome back.

Aaah, one of my favorite stories from before I left here. <3 And it's a mite bit longer since then!
If it takes you two -another- two years to update it, though, I'll be sad. =P

Excellent! So glad to see an update from you guys, and this definitely remains my favorite fic you've written so far. The chemistry between R and D is just so perfect; comes out *snicker* wonderfully in this chappy. They're so hot together ^_^ Looking forward to more!
