Chapter 1. Great way to catch attention at the beginning. Transition from each section was smooth as well and I really like how you've kept it down to earth and... real, if that's the right term. Great work and I'll be seeing you in chapter 2.

I just read this story all the way through in less than a day. I have to say, that overall it was very well written. Your two protagonists are wonderfully flawed and so very wounded by their pasts that they have trouble recognizing what is in front of them. Dainton is such a tragic figure that at first you don't realize that Reilly is the more emotionally stunted of the two. I really enjoyed this.

Hi there. Someone posted a message looking for this story under the title "Desperation to Find a Story" but has it set so only members can "review"/reply so I can't tell her/him. Can someone with a AFF membership please help her out? She posted it under the slash original fiction category.

Eeee! I'm on a happy high from just finishing this, I wanna flail madly about the room with all the happy energy I have! This was such a good story! I loved it all so much, definitely the characters. Dainton is so sweet, and oh gosh the life he lives with his mom, so hard! I love the connection that he and Reilly make, they are an awesome couple! I could babble for a while about it all, but anyways; freakin' wonderful story. I will be reading the sequel as well as your other work!

First of all can I say that I'm in love with this story. You guys are amazing!

I love Dainton and Reilly they are an amazing couple. Their personalities are distinct but they are similar in terms that they are on their own and have to deal with certain emotional obstacles. The good thing is that they can face it together.

Personally these two deserve each other. Dainton, he's is such a sweetheart and the situation with his mother is something that I can relate but not at that level. He is just an adolescent that had to deal with a very emotional problems at home and I just love him to pieces for how long he took care of his mother and none of it was ever seen to other and himself as a great feat that he accomplished. He also had to deal with his lack of friends and to be honest I think this is one of the first stories that I have read in which a character attempts suicide and I feel that the situation was done perfectly.

As for Reilly he a great guy granted a little blunt and well he also has his set of problems from what I can tell of that picture that Dainton found. he lives alone and really has no friends and he was a bully. As he told Dainton he had to bully because he himself would have been bullied because of his height. But then I guess he stuck to it because of the barbs he and Dainton went through. I actually think they were friends in a hurtful way. At least they both respected each other to an extend and as Reilly told himself he liked it bullying Dainton, since he Dainton was the only one who would answer back.

These two boys are just adorable. They are comfortable with each other like a married couple. Reilly really cares because he made an effort to befriend Dainton and constantly think about his well being which gradually made him realize that he loved Dainton. And they both subconsciously had an attraction for each other especially when they where drunk. And I really think that John served as the catalyst in Reilly's case to take charge and admit his feelings and end the misunderstanding between them.

Overall, this is an amazing story from your great minds and I can't wait to read the sequel.

I really loved this story. It had me hooked from the first chapter and I just couldn't stop reading it. I liked the way you kept us readers all on edge through the story, and I was not disappointed with the end. I loved it. Just loved it.

I loved this story so much... The character portrayal was wonderful, and Dainton's situation was so realistic. I got such a strong image of him in my head that I just had to draw him xD and then when I was finished, I thought I should draw Reilly too, considering. So here you are, I hope you like it!
