alrighty....so review time...again...yep, that\'s definetly going to be a tough one...we\'ll I guess I\'ll just bite the bullet already. I\'m ashamed to say that this story is by far the most intense one I\'ve read in this board in over a year (that is as far back as I\'ve recollection of any stories in here do that\'s pretty good). Don\'t get me wrong, I\'m not ashamed to be praising you on your great job but for the reasons I like it. It\'s just very very very bad (stress on the badness of it all) that I like it so much because of the whole Sasha factor...because this charactarization you did taps into dark and far-removed places of my psyche that it really shouldn\'t, that tiny almost forgoten place in which us, well resolved, working, worldly, self-sufficient gals keep the Neanderthal, housewife version of ourselves who just really wants to be dragged by the hair, thrown down on the bed (or the couch, or the table or the closest piece of furniture avaiable or even the damned floor in the barest of spaces) and have unmentionable things to us. It was very wise of you, regardless of wether you did it intentionally or not, to shape their relationship like that, keeping Suzanne a strong-willed, inteligent, resourceful woman (instead of the usual either whorish or weakling types we usually see around fics who easily give into rape and abuses of that kind) so it doesn\'t insult your women readers and makes her more of a challenge and much more interesting to read about instead of some willing \"victim\". She\'s not passive and that\'s great and it\'s good to see her motives (all of them) behind her actions. It was also great you mingled the incredible smut with the plot building so it didn\'t become meaningless or uneventful along the ride. But back to the reason why you\'re so damn good at this whole writting thing...because post-modern women have rilled into their skulls from their very first breath we should retaliate to any sort of bossing around (specially that done by men) so the imediate reaction was to hate Sasha but I don\'t because yes he IS possessive and agressive and your overall macho alpha-male but he\'s got a heart AND is capable of falling in love and commitment (even if it\'s in his twisted, disturbed unique way)...it\'s the age old story of the bad boy who\'s just waiting for the right woman to \"reform\" him but you gave it a twist and made it more believable and fresh not turning him into a love-sick puppy or her into a spineless bint...well that was all to say that I loved it and will be looking forward to any types of sequel or not-quite-sequels that you might spring on us involving this odd couple. ooooh and to the gals at the feminist association, please don\'t take away my membership card???

This was more than impressive. Whomever you are, zeke, you did a stunning job with the material. The story took a highly unlikely plot--which is my favorite sort, but only if the author is capable of handling it--and created a delicious tale of flawed human beings. Erotic stories with actual interaction aside from the smut tend to be either overly sentimental or painfully choppy, but this was neither. Furthermore, I was delighted to find that Sasha retained a relatively consistent personality as the story progressed, neither becoming inhumanly cruel for the sake of cruelty nor undergoing a total transformation into some generic hero. Similarly, I enjoyed that Suzanne\'s sexually submissive tendencies were illustrated in context, so that she remained to some degree a strong and independent woman, while being conflicted over her relationship to Sasha. The fact that she did not turn into a brainless, helpless slave was a relief to me; she showed just the right amount of vulnerability mingled with determination. Please let us see the story continue: I\'d like to find out what happens between them once she\'s without the extreme effects brought on by being a war prisoner. Because you have succeeded so far in keeping Suzanne\'s sexual submission from changing her entire personality, I\'d love to see you give her the upper hand when she next sees Sasha. Of course, the dominance/submission and sadism/masochism would still return to their relationship, but she\'s not yet had a chance to assert herself in a standard setting (i.e., without the captor/prisoner dynamic--as enjoyable as that might be). On a slightly different note, I have to admit that while I generally enjoy erotica for the interactions rather than the characters, I am head-over-heels completely in lust with Sasha... and actually, I don\'t just like him for his sexual appeal. I see internal conflicts already rising to the surface in his character as well as in Suzanne\'s, and I hope you (the author) will bring his thoughts and emotions out and thereby fulfill his potential to be a complex and even more fascinating person. You\'ve done a great job balancing the portrayal of full-spectrum eroticism, all the way from beautiful tenderness to passionate cruelty, and I look forward to more of the same from you.
