I just finished reading all eight chapters. I love your description and how you go into such detail about their thoughts. I don't really know about historic accuracy, but it seems really close. I really hope that Mildred finds out and tells Emily to be careful, or that Mildred...I don't know. But it's good, I like. Kudos for you!

Ah, that\'s better, back to the developing relationship between the two of them, although, it does seem a little odd dining in an italian restaurant in this time period, but maybe that\'s just me. Other than that the friction is starting to warm, as am I to the characters. Keep it up!

i think it\'s interesting how you note the ...physical reactions of his attraction, but not hers.

Yes, the scene where J. is having difficulties changing is leading to something (his now changing in his house and I\'m sure you can guess what will happen)
Also the scene where Mrs. Lampley tells E. of who J. is tells us why she told Florence the same, and is also leading up to something.
And obviously something will happen at the restaurant.
