Wow... Just... Wow.

This is one of the best stories that I've read in a long time. I'm usually not into stories like this but, on a whim, I decided to sit down with some extra time and try to read something away from the norm -- I'm glad I listened to my whimsical side for once!

From the first chapter, I was hooked. The writing is splended and the characters have the most personality I've seen in ages. I didn't even want to get up to pee. I've spent the majority of my day reading through the first twenty-two chapters, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment.

As suspicious of Axel as I was in the beginning (I almost thought that HE was part of the plan, too) and as much as I disliked him from the moment of his introduction, I still felt a sense of frantic urgency when he attempted to tell Mina about his suspicions. Perhaps his overinterest in her ended up like a double-edged sword; it helped him figure out the suspcious goings on, but prevented him from properly telling her without her freaking out.

I feel a sense of mild attachment to Baxter, but with each Dahmer-like quality you slowly revealed about him, it made me feel, for the first time in a long time, the same sense of urgency to escape as Mina did once she found out his intentions. I could feel a sort of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" air to the house when Mina entered the kitchen to find Miss Fulham in on the scheme as well. It offered a very surreal and panicked atmosphere that didn't allow me to think, even for the smallest moment, that she would really escape.

Trust me, I could go on and on about this and never stop finding excellent points in this story and, to be frank (Who's Frank? lol), I really couldn't find anything in "Genteel Obsession", either in spelling, grammar, or punctuation, that would even remotely detract from the story.

I would honestly say that, if you could find a publisher for erotica stories, I would buy this off the shelf in hard-back. It's a great read!

With that, I'm going to check out your member profile to see any other stories you've written -- it might just keep me happy until the next chapter. Keep up the wonderful work and "Stay Toasty!"

He's a SOCIPATH!! Ok, Mina is in trouble, that just makes him very unpredictable. First, Axel couldn't he just wait till she got out of the bathroom and then just say really fast "your car is working". The way he did it would scare anyone. Also, I don't know if taking her than was smart for Stephen. I mean Axel will find out and he was already putting things together. Also, I figured Miss Fulham was in on it too. If she was there when he started as a teenager, then she had to know by now.

There are a couple of things about Stephen that do disappoint me. I thought he would take her better than he did. I really thougt he would make sure she was as comfortable as possible and most importantly she would enjoy it from beginning to end. Being held down with her hands tied was not comfortable or enjoyable. Also, why does he share his pets with Dominic. Dominic doesn't see his women like Stephen, Dominic is just in it to rape women. Then the Tank. With all the money he has and has put into this he could make a better Tank. Even if he is a socipath, that's just stupid to think anyone could be locked in a room that size and live very long. Will she get some out door time, she has to right?

I don't know how she is going to get out of this, but I gald she is strong. Strangely enough, I think Stephen and Mina are perfect for each other. She can help him to be a little sane and because she keeps herself away for the world she won't be giving anything up to be with him. But like I said before he took her wrong and now she not going to want to stay with him at all. She definitely needs to get rid of Dominic, I don't like him at all and if he gets to rape Mina it's all over.

So Mrs. Fulham was in on it too...Poor Mina. She never had a chance did she? Once Baxter had her in his sights, she was doomed. I wonder what he does with the bodies--makes you wonder.

This story is so addictive on so many levels. I can't wait for more!

That's a girl, Mina, don't give them an inch! Fight in whatever way you can! However, unless there is a miracle of some sort, there is no way she can escape from her prison. A woman with such fire might be intriguing to Stephen and Dominic that her resistance might keep her alive until she can figure a way out. Maybe play the two men against one another for her affections? Stephen has everything to lose if Dominic turns on him for whatever reason. The only two people who can let her out is Dominic or Stephen and unless she get past them somehow, she is stuck.

However, Mina is an intelligent woman and not likely to break easily. I can't wait to see what happens next!

If I haven't said it before, this is one terrific story!!

Finally, an update. I'm so happy to see you didn't completely forget about this story. I have to say I have read a lot of "I'm Master of the World, So I May Take Whatever I Want" charactors before, but in the end they have been all bad guys. However, Stephen isn't like that, he isn't just going to kill them off. Even though he is the same in the "Once Your Mine, Your Always Mine" kinda of way, but that's to be expected. Also, I really like Minna (might be spelled wrong) and I have to say I really don't know who she is going to take this caged like a butterfly thing. One thing is sure, it's that I really look forward to finding out.

Your writing is good and I like the way you put past info about Stephen in the story. It gives us more understanding on how he is and why.

Hey!! I don't know where I have been to NOT have come across this story sooner! I can't wait for the next update! Please don't take tooo long though, 'cause I'm dying over here waiting!! I don't know how I feel about Stephan. Part of me is hoping that there are real feelings developing between him and Minna. Obviously its unrealistic to think that he can be completely reformed. It's that whole Stolkholm Syndrome thing. I kind of love Minna. Even though she seems to be the 'shy girl' she seems to have a little feisty-ness to her. Anyways, please continue this ASAP!

I discovered your story only today and I have to say that I am absolutely in love with it! I've read every chapter and even that's not enough. I want--no, correct that--I need to read more. This story is so entertaining and addictive, I can't describe it!

I found myself yelling at the computer: "Mina, get away from Stephen! He's not what he seems! His is sick and he's got very dark reasons for why he's suddenly interested in you!" But like watching a car accident, I can't help but read...It's hard to explain how I feel about this story. I want but at the same time, I don't want to know what he's going to do to her once he has her trapped in his web. I hope it's just sex but since this is a horror story, he'll do more to her than that.

What will this guy do to her once he gets tired of her? I can imagine he's got some kind of display area in the basement where he pins women to the wall like he does with his butterflies. It's "yuck" but "oooh" at the same time.
