It had been awhile since I read the first two chapters of this, so I decided to use that as an excuse to start over at the beginning, and I enjoyed the story as much the second time as I did when I first read it. Your prose has an effortless grace to it, which evokes another time and place, without ever seeming stilted. And your characters are very nicely developed -- they definitely seem like real people to me. I especially like Francois.

This is a very beautiful story. I love all the sensual details, and the richness of your fantasy world. The elvish sounds very poetic, especially the phrase \"dream in the light, and walk above.\"
