Grjob, job, Andrian! Sorry it\'s taken me a while to review this. When I first read it, I was at a loss as to what to say, and being distracted by a child destroying the dining room didn\'t help. Now I have a little time to collect my thoughts here.

My first impression, I didn\'t like it. But that\'s not a bad thing. What I mean is that it evoked in me feelings I didn\'t want to feel. After all, I read fiction to feel better, not worse. This was depressing, leaving me with a hollow feeling that I didn\'t like. However, that is rather the point isn\'t it? It\'s a mark that it is so well-written that it can affect a reader so, creating such feelings of pain and sympathy for the character.

Frankly, I didn\'t even consider the \'erotica\' category or the sex scene. Although the sex scene is good, it is secondary to the woman\'s pain, her lack of self worth, and her awful relationship with the controlling man. It\'s the age old axiom: \'girls give sex to get love, boys talk love to get sex\'. No matter that he *says* he loves her, it is clear he doesn\'t. He contols her, both with the realtionship and their sexual encounters. He calls her \"little one\" and says \"good girl\", purposely reinforcing his authority (like a father figure) and her feelings of dependency on him. He uses her, and she lets him. Her lack of self worth is so sad, and sadder still is her giving up and accepting that she can never have she she truly wants (and needs). It is terribly sad and poignant.

Damn. Now I\'m depressed again. Time for fluff... (grin)

Hey Andrian,
I understand that she was his mistress, but did she fall off the railing? Or kill herself? Did I miss something? (I do that sometimes.)

Hey, when are you going to do a sequel to Damaged s? s? Soon, huh?

Cheers!

This is the first time I have ever reviewed one of these stories. I usually read them purely for my prurient amusement Your story, however, has something m I I think that your take on this scene is probably more true to life than most of the fantasies one reads here. It certainly sets it apart as more mature.
